Summary

In the firstFinal Fantasyon the NES, players could choose the Jobs for their four Light Warriors. One of those Jobs was the Thief, who would later evolve into the Ninja toward the end of the game. From there, Thief and Ninja Jobs were mostly separated in the series.

Yuffie was an exception in the originalFinal Fantasy 7who kind of took on both roles. The same is true for her presence in this latest remake adventure. Players can equip her with a variety ofgiant Shuriken inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and they can all grant her weapon skills. What are the best?

Max HP +200 weapon skill in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth-1

7Max HP +200

A Little Boost To Keep Yuffie Going

Yuffie is going to begin the game with not a lot of HP despite being a late addition to the party. She’ll appear as early as Chapter 4, but players can’t get her into the party untilFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s7th chapter. Once there, Yuffie will come equipped with her default weapon, the Four-Point Shuriken.

With it, players can equip plenty of good weapon skills, including Max HP +200. It’s a nice boost for most characters, but Yuffie especially. She has good speed and range in battle, but her health and defense stats aren’t the highest.

Brave Thief weapon skill in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

6Brave Thief

A Bonus Mugging Effect

Another good weapon skill to equip onto the Four-Point Shuriken is called Brave Thief. This weapon skill applies the stat buff, Bravery, to Yuffie when she successfully steals from an enemy. Players can steal items via the StealCommand Materia inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth; alternatively, they can use Mug, which attacks enemies and steals items.

Bravery will increase Yuffie’s attack power for a short amount of time. There is also a magic boosting spell called Faith, and both Bravery and Faith can be cast manually inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthusing the Empowerment Magic Materia. Empowerment is not a bad Materia to have to boost the party in dire straights.

Opening ATB Bonus weapon skill in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

5Opening ATB Bonus

Get Ready For Battle

The Crescent Sickle takes a bit more work to get than most giant Shuriken in the game. Players will have to master a mini-game inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirththrough a side quest called “Bonds of Trust” available in the Cosmo Canyon region. If they master the courses, they can get this weapon, allowing them to equip Yuffie with the Opening ATB Bonus skill.

Opening ATB Bonus will start Yuffie out with a little bit of her ATB gauge filled in battle. While normal attacks cost nothing, most other abilities in the game cost ATB charges, even using items. That’s why getting speed boosts to the ATB gauge is so beneficial.

Limit Break Damage +10% weapon skill in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

4Limit Break Damage +10%

It Will Be A Bloodbath

The Bird of Prey weapon is relatively easy to get, although players have to wait until they are in Gongaga Village duringFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s9th chapter. It’s a good weapon and has the benefit of increasing Yuffie’s Limit Break power through a weapon skill called Limit Break Damage +10%.

Most characters begin the game with access to two Limit Breaks. Bloodbath is one of Yuffie’s, and it’s a series of powerful slashes. Devastation is an even stronger attack that can pierce through enemy armor, and it has a high chance to Stagger them too. Staggering enemies inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthtakes some work through weakness manipulation, but if players succeed, it will lower enemy defenses by a lot for a short period.

Critical Hit Damage +10% weapon skill in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

3Critical Hit Damage +10%

It’s Super Effective!

The Bird of Prey has anothergreat Yuffie weapon skillcalled Critical Hit Damage +10%. It sounds obvious, but this will increase Yuffie’s critical hits when she gets them in battle. Getting a critical hit is not easy since it relies on a lot of factors, with the Luck stat being one of them.

Players can increase their chances of getting a critical hit via the Luck Up Complete Materia. Also, players can stack Critical Hit Damage +10% onto Yuffie’s Bird of Prey weapon because there are multiple slots for it, and the lesser version, Critical Hit Damage +5%. With these combinations, Yuffie could kill with a few successful hits in battle.

Shuriken Mastery weapon skill in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

2Shuriken Mastery

Throw Further, Be Safer

Yuffie is one of the bestplayable characters inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth, if not THE best, thanks to her versatility. While her attack power is lower than Cloud, her speed and long-range capabilities more than make up for that. She can throw her giant Shuriken multiple times to hit enemies from a distance or warp towards them in a flash.

Players can also use the giant Shuriken as a get-out-of-jail-free card to warp out of dangerous situations. However, her weapon won’t hover idly by forever. It will eventually boomerang back to Yuffie. However, with a weapon skill like Shuriken Mastery on the Four-Point Shuriken, players can extend this hover time by 25 seconds, thus increasing Yuffie’s chance to warp out of harm’s way.

Fire Damage Up weapon skill in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

1Fire Damage Up

Mastering The Elements

The last andbest Yuffie weapon skillworth mentioning is again attached to the Four-Point Shuriken. With this weapon,Yuffie can learn the Elemental Ninjutsu ability inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth. This will allow her to imbue her weapon with fire, ice, wind, or lightning damage.

Then, players can boost fire damage by 10% with the Fire Damage Up weapon skill. This applies to all fire-based attacks that Yuffie uses, including spells like Fire or Summons like Phoenix. If players prefer lightning-based damage on Yuffie, the Four-Point Shuriken also has the Lightning Damage Up weapon skill.
