Despite real-world talent cuts potentially threatening the lineup,WWE 2K22actually has a rather sizable and impressive roster of wrestlers available in the base game. In fact, there are 163 wrestlers available onWWE 2K22’s base game roster, with that number increasing to 168 for those that went for the pricier nWo 4-Life Edition. Even though theWWE 2K22roster is pretty big, 2K Sports and Visual Concepts will be expanding it even further with the release of five DLC packs that are set to launch in the months ahead.

The firstWWE 2K22DLC pack will arrive on April 26 in the form of the Banzai Pack, themed after former WWE Champion Yokozuna. Yokozuna will be headlining the Banzai Pack, joined by relatives Umaga and Rikishi, as well as new stars Omos and Kacy Catanzaro. The Most Wanted Pack follows a similar pattern. Set to launch on May 17, it features a headlining legend in the form of Cactus Jack, flanked by two other legends in The Boogeyman and Vader. It also features a modern male and female star with Ilja Dragunov and Indie Hartwell.

The Stand Back Pack, set to launch forWWE 2K22on June 7, breaks from this pattern somewhat in that it has three modern male stars and one female legend. The Stand Back Pack is headlined by Hurricane Helms, who is joined by Stacy Keibler, A-Kid, Wes Lee, and Nash Carter. The Stand Back Pack is relatively light on well-known WWE superstars compared to the previous two packs, so it will be interesting to see how many pick it up. Of course, theWWE 2K22Season Pass, available automatically toDigital Deluxe and nWo 4-Life Edition owners, will get users all five packs regardless.

The Whole Dam Pack

Release Date: July 19

TheWWE 2K22Clowning Around Pack, releasing June 28, picks things up by having six featured stars available instead of just five. This pack features Doink the Clown, Ronda Rousey, The British Bulldog, Mr. T, Doudrop, and Rick Boogs. Prior toWWE 2K22’s launch, there were rumors that WWE approached 2K Sports aboutadding Ronda Rousey to the game as DLC, so it’s possible that the reason why this pack has six characters instead of five is because Rousey was a last-minute addition to the lineup, but that’s just speculation at this time.

And finally, the lastWWE 2K22DLC pack will launch on July 19 with The Whole Dam Pack. As one might imagine, Rob Van Dam is the headlining new wrestler for that pack, joined by LA Knight, Xia Li, Commander Azeez, and Sarray. This pack features the most playable characters, because along with the aforementioned five wrestlers, it also includes social media personality Logan Paul andmusician Machine Gun Kelly.

Pricing information for the individualWWE 2K22DLC packshas not been announced at the time of this writing, but the Season Pass costs $39.99.

WWE 2K22is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
