Hero Talents are one of the headlining features ofThe War Within. Each of these special Talent trees is shared by two of a class' specializations once they are unlocked at level 71, and provide powerful passive – and occasionally active – abilities that help capture a specific type of class fantasy while alsochanging the appearance of certainWorld of Warcraftabilities.

Though fans knew the names of all 39 Hero Talents coming inThe War Within,World of Warcrafthad only revealed the contents of eight of the trees. However, Blizzard recently revealedeight more Hero Talent trees in aWorld of Warcraftblog post: Elune’s Chosen and Wildstalker Druid, Scalecommander Evoker, Herald of the Sun and Templar Paladin, Trickster Rogue, Diabolist Warlock, and Colossus Warrior. This brings the total number of revealed Talent Trees to 16, only a little under half the total number.

Bloodseeker Vines spawned by Rip and Rake, Symbiotic Blooms spawned by Wild Growth, Rejuvenation, and Efflorescence
Eruption and Disintigrate become AoE, mark targets for Volcanic Bombardment

Spawn Sunspots beneath targets with Holy Power abilities to damage enemies and heal allies

Eye of Tyr, Wake of Ashes chain into Hammer of Light to drop hammers on enemies.

Feint becomes an offensive cooldown, inflicts Faze debuff to reduce target’s damage done and increase damage taken

Summon powerful demons that deal damage and modify spells by spending Soul Shards

TheElune’s Chosen Hero Talent available for Balance and Guardian Druids inWoW, is all about Astral damage, increasing the output of their moon-based attacks. Feral and Restoration Druids can choose Wildstalker to increase both the damage and healing capabilities of their Cat form by spawning Bloodseeker Vines and Symbiotic Blooms from certain attacks and spells.
ForWorld of WarcraftPaladins, the Herald of the Sun for Holy and Retribution create Sunspots under their targets to damage enemies and heal allies. Meanwhile, Protection and Retribution Paladins that take the Templar Hero Talent tree can follow up their Eye of Tyr or Wake of Ashes cooldowns with Hammer of Light to drop massive Empyrean Hammers on their foes.
Scalecommander Evokers of Devastation orWoW’s newest Augmentation specializationstransform their Eruption and Disintigrate spells into AoEs that mark targets for Bombardment, and can steer their flying breath abilities. Outlaw and Subtlety Rogues who choose Trickster gain the ability to Faze enemies with skills like Feint, increasing the Trickster’s damage done and reducing their damage taken.
Demonology and Destruction Warlocks can choose Diabolist to summon Overlords, Mothers of Chaos, or Pit Lords by spending Soul Shards on other abilities. Colossus, available to Arms and Protection warriors, gets the active Demolish ability to deal huge damage to a target that is further empowered by their abilities, and permanently becomes larger than other characters of their race.World of Warcraftplayers can expect to see the rest of the unrevealedHero Talent trees in the months leading up toThe War Within’srelease.
