World of Warcraftis adding some unexpected customization options for Dragonriding drakes inDragonflightPatch 10.1.5. These new options will letWorld of Warcraftplayers customize their mounts with highly-desired cosmetics while also potentially suggesting an interesting development in theDragonflightstory.

Dragonflightis currently working on Patch 10.1.5, Fractures in Time, some of which is available for perusal on the Public Test Realm. The patch involves the conflict between the Bronze and Infinite Dragonflights as the latter attempts to fracture the timeline in the Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon.

However, it seemsWorld of Warcraftplayers might be getting some Dragonriding drake customizations inspired by the very same antagonists. In a recent build of the Patch 10.1.5 PTR, players have discovered scale, horn, skin, fur, and eye colors in the same black and blue pattern used by the Infinite Dragonflight. Where and how players will unlock these options is currently unknown, but it will likely be either be as a drop from theDawn of the Infinite dungeon inDragonflightor as a reward from the time-twisting repeatable quests from Eon’s Fringe coming in Fractures in Time.

This new customization option could meansomething big on the horizon for the Infinite Dragonflight. While the group has historically been antagonistic in the past, there was a portion of the story in Thaldraszus that had the Bronze and Infinite Dragonflights working together. Considering these two warring factions are composed of the same individuals from different periods of time, it is possible these cosmetics could be rewarded as a part of their efforts to get over their differences.

Of course, it is more likely thesenew Dragonriding drake customizationsare simply cosmetic rewards that will allow players to make their mounts look cool. Since they were first introduced, the iconic scale patterns of the Infinite Dragonflight struck players with how unique and interesting they were, so many players would love to decorate their mounts in similar ways. Needless to say, players are excited to collect these cosmetics when and if they are added to the game.

Fans of theDragonriding inDragonflightcan rest easy knowing the dynamic flying system will be coming to the rest of the game soon.World of Warcraftis hoping to have the system fully implemented before the end ofDragonflight, but players can expect the first taste of it when the Kalimdor Cup racing event is added to the old world in Patch 10.1.5.

World of Warcraftis available now on PC.
