With the addition of the Argent Tournament inWorld of Warcraft: Classic, players can try their hand at being knights, complete with lances, chargers, and heroic adventures. The tournament is still in Phase 2, and some additions have yet to be completed. In the meantime, players can finish the Black Knight questline.

This isn’t a daily quest like most of the tasks available from the various NPCs found throughout the Argent Tournament grounds. It’s a quest chain that players complete as they rise through the various ranks of the Argent Tournament.
The quests take the player to far-flung points throughoutAzeroth and Northrend, two major continents inWoW, and they learn about the mystery and intrigue surrounding the Black Knight, who he is, and how he can be defeated.
Crusader Rhydalla
Find this important neutral NPC in the Argent Pavilion on the southern side of the tournament grounds.Crusader Rhydallais the source of the Black Knight quests, and she will only speak to players who are enrolled in the tournament. Speak toJusticar Mariel Trueheartjust inside the door of the same building to get started.
With few exceptions, the following quests are virtually the same for both Horde and Alliance players. Every quest in the chain starts and ends with Crusader Rhydalla.

The Quest Chain
The Black Knight might be related to the Argent Tournament from a storyline point of view, but they award no special currencies or reputation like the daily quests and won’t help advance a player’s tournament rank.
The Black Knight of Silverpine/Westfall?
The first thing Crusader Rhydalla wants is to confirm the Black Knight’s backstory. She doesn’t believe his story about where he came from and sendsthe player to a remote locationto find an old diary that would confirm or disprove his account.
Horde players go to a lonely farm in Silverpine Forest, while Alliance players go to the lonely fields of Westfall. This is the only quest in the chain that’s different depending on the faction.
The Seer’s Crystal
There’s not much going on in the central zone of Crystalsong Forest until the Argent Crusade comes to town, and there are daily quests from the tournament that players can also finish here if they’re working towards the Aspirant title.
The Seer’s Crystal is a random drop that players can find on the Unbound Seers that congregate in the Forlorn Woods. Find them along the southern part of the zone.
Finding the Seer’s Crystal leads into the next quest, The Stories Dead Men Tell. Take the crystal to the graveyard east of the tournament grounds. Use the crystal on the graves of the last three knights that the Black Knight defeated to find out how they died.
The names to look for are Lorien Sunblaze, Sir Wendell Balfour, and Conall Irongrip.
There’s Something About the Squire
To find out more about the Black Knight, maybe ask his Squire, a thick-headed orc named Maloric. Return to the Crystalsong Woods and kill Skeletal Woodcutters until one drops a femur.
Use this femur to hit Maloric over the head. While he’s stunned, search him for clues and evidence. Retrieve the Murderer’s Toolkit.
The Black Knight’s Orders
Crusader Rhydalla gives the player an Enchanted Bridle to take control of the Black Knight’s Griffon. Ride it to find out its destination and recover the Black Knight’s Orders and the Stolen Tournament Invitation.
Return the items to Crusader Rhydalla. Depending on the character’s status with the tournament, she may not be able to offer them the next quest in the chain.
Most players who start the Black Knight quest line as soon as they arrive on the tournament grounds will have to stop at this point unless they have attained the title ofChampion. The next step in the chain doesn’t become available until players reach this rank in the Argent Tournament.

The Champion Level Quests
When players reach this level the Black Knight quests have better rewards. There’s still a modest stipend to cover expenses, but players now also get 250 reputation with both the Argent Crusade and either the Silver Covenant or the Sunreavers, depending on their faction.
The Black Knight’s Fall
Rhydalla is so serious about defeating the Black Knight that she lends the player her personal warhorse. After using the Bridle of the Argent Charger to mount up, ride to the tournament grounds and speak to Squire Cavin.
Cavin will pass your challenge on to the Black Knight and call him to the jousting area. Defeat him, and free the Argent Tournament from his murderous grasp.

The Black Knight’s Curse
Of course, the story doesn’t end with a simple defeat and demise. There’s a malevolent presence lurking in the cemetery and Crudasder Rhydalla thinks it might have a connection to the freshly turned sod on a certain new plot.
She sends the player back to the cemetery to investigate the Black Knight’s grave. A Cult Sabateur is stealing the body, and they order aCult Assassin to slay the player, who has witnessed the exchange at the gravestone. Defeat the assassin and return to Rhydalla.
The Black Knight’s Fate
The final quest in the chain sends the player to Deathspeaker’s Watch, a location outside of the tournament grounds. Look for the hovering green bubble that contains the Black Knight and find the NPC responsible for his resurrection, Doctor Kohlor.
Slay the doctor and take Doctor Kohler’s Orders from his body. The writ is from the Lich King himself and commands Kohlor to sacrifice a Crusader named Kul on the nearby altar to bring the Black Night back to full power. The player is too late to stop the sacrifice, and although the doctor is defeated, the Black Knight rides again.
This is the only quest in the chain to rewardChampion’s Seals, the main currency in the Argent Tournament, in addition to rep and gold.
Completing this final quest opens up one of the last daily quests for the Argent Tournament,Death From Above, which awards Champion’s Seals and reputation for the Argent Crusade, the character’s faction, and other handy items like Northrend Supplies.
