Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Star Paths are limited-time events that challenge players to complete a variety of different tasks, known asDreamlight Duties, to earn a special event currency. This currency can be used to unlock various rewards exclusive to each Star Path.
Currently, no Star Paths or associated items have been reintroduced in any updates during the game’s Early Access period. Therefore, players who want to get their hands on these limited-time items should aim to complete as many duties as possible to ensure they earn enough currency to purchase their desired rewards inDisney Dreamlight Valley.

Haunted Holiday Star Path
TheHaunted Holiday Star Pathis different from previous events in that each of the required Dreamlight Duties has had their descriptions updated. Now, instead of providing very literal instruction, as the Dreamlight Valley’s standard, year-round duties offer, each task instead features a more cryptic clue to its objective.
While some of these are still fairly straightforward for players familiar with duties featured throughout previous Star Paths, there are a handful of tasks that require familiarity with Disney movies in order to decode their objectives. This can be challenging for many players who may not have seen various films, and some clues pertain to characters who haven’t yet been added toDreamlight Valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Exceptionally Unexceptional Village
One Dreamlight Duty from the Haunted Holiday Star Path that has many players confused instructs them to “Give an exceptionally unexceptional Villager a favorite gift.”Mirabel is the “exceptionally unexceptional villager” inDisney Dreamlight Valley.
To complete this task, the player needs to speak with Mirabel and give her5 of her daily favorite gifts, which will taketwo real-world daysto complete if the player gives her a maximum of three gifts per day. If the player has not yet unlocked Mirabel, they can do so by locating aspecial golden door knobto start this quest.

Players might recall the “exceptionally unexceptional” terminology being used to introduce her character onDreamlight Valley’s early 2023 content roadmap, but outside of this, the term is not used in-game and makes identifying the right character for this task especially tricky for players who may not have seenEncanto.
Encanto’s Mirabel
In the Disney filmEncanto, Mirabel lives in a magical house calledCasa Madrigal, or simply Casita, which is located in a secluded Colombian village. She resides with her extensive family, including her Abuela, Alma, and her parents, siblings, and several cousins, all of whom possessunique magical abilities. However, Mirabel is the only family member who does not have such a gift, making her “unexceptional” in comparison to the rest of her family.
It’s uncertain if future Star Path events will include similarly cryptic clues for players to decode to complete its Dreamlight Duties. While it does make the event more interesting, adding a bit of flavor and puzzle-solving to the tasks rather than simply listing a bunch of bland and literal objectives, some players are not happy with this change.
While Gameloft has not commented on whether this change in verbiage for these tasks will be a permanent thing, it’s hoped that for future Star Path events, the clues will involve only information players can have learned through their experiences inDisney Dreamlight Valley.
Disney Dreamlight Valleyis available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
