The ability to recruit anyone is one ofWatch Dogs Legion’s key features that developer Ubisoft talked about extensively before its release several days ago. To those unfamiliar,each NPC inWatch Dogs Legioncan be recruitedto join the player’s team, and their skills, abilities, and perks are mostly generated at random. Of course, given the endless combinations that are available in the game, it appears thatWatch Dogs Legion’s most important feature has accidentally created a highly-inappropriate character in the game.
In a Twitter post byWatch Dogs Legionplayer Andy Borjas, the player shared a troubling discovery withone ofWatch Dogs Legion’s operatives. The character in question presents herself as a pediatrician, but a short blurb about her origin story revealed that she “ended a personal relationship with a patient.” Of course, this raises red flags, given that pediatricians are medical doctors whose patients are usually children under 18.

At the moment, it appears that this is just a fluke in theWatch Dogs Legion’s system of matching backstories with occupations and doesn’t appear to be intentional. Nonetheless, Ubisoft should have predicted something like this to happen. Due to the sensitive nature of the character the game accidentally created, a patch to fix the algorithm will likely be released soon.
Apart from this, it appears that players like the play as anyone feature in general. Those who have already played the game would know thatWatch Dogs Legiondoes rely heavily on this feature given thateach mission inWatch Dogs Legionrequires a different approach, whether it be stealth or direct combat. Given this, allowing the player to scout for the perfect operatives from basically an infinite pool of people makes it a bit easier to curate a team of operatives whose abilities match the missions at hand.
Meanwhile, it appears thatWatch Dogs Legionis shaping up to be one of the biggest games this year. Shortly after its release,Watch Dogs Legionhas already received mostly positive reviewsfrom players and critics. While some attention has been poured into the game’s depiction of a post-Brexit London, much of the praise focuses on its immersive story, the ability to assemble a diverse team, and allowing players to create their own stories and experiences in the game.
