Searching for memories (1/7)
Emem awakens in a prison cell in her second playable segment, missing some memories and very thirsty. Moving the loose stone on the right wall of Emem’s cell releases some rats, allowing her to (albeit reluctantly) slake her thirst. Emem’s celerity discipline enables her to identify and leap between various points in the area with vampiric speed, which is essential for recovering all of her memories.
Emem needs to recover seven memories in order to make a complete recovery. The first of these is automatically received simply by using celerity to escape her cell and walking towards the tower in the center of the area. This triggers a vision of Emem’s arrival at the Jefferson Library and her capture.

Memory of an Embrace (2/7)
In order to recover the second memory, players should make their way to the bridge that leads to a staircase up into the central tower. They’ll then need to look to the left of this bridge with celerity vision to find a way down to a small side path, at the end of which is a blue candle. Interacting with this sends Emem into another vision, revealing her Embrace at the hands of her sire Hilda.
Memory of a Blood Bond (3/7)
To uncover the third memory, players will need to head to the branching paths opposite the bridge they visited to recover the previous memory. Next, they should face the Tremere research room and turn left, passing a number of cells, to find a way back out into the main room. Players can then use Celerity here to reach a path around the side of the room, eventually reaching a bloodstained prison cell lower down.
In the bloodstained cell, Emem can interact with the mattress to trigger another vision, this time of beingforcibly blood bonded by servants of the previous prince of Boston. This scene is quite disturbing to watch.

Memory of France (4/7)
Retrieving this memory requires the player to utilize another benefit of Celerity. In the Tremere research room there are three switches on a wall near the door. Using one of these switches causes a gate to drop blocking off one of the two paths outside the room that lead to the cells, but disables the locks on the cell doors along that path. The switch on the left is the one players should pull here, ensuring that Emem’s time-slowing ability is active first. Then, players need to sprint out of the room and turn left to pass under the gate before it shuts.
In the second cell down that path is a radio that triggers a vision when interacted with. This time, Emem sees memories of making plans to flee France with Hilda due to war.

Memory of a Break-Up (5/7)
To obtain this memory, players should repeat the trick from the previous memory to open the cells, this time pulling the right-hand switch and turning right. The third cell down this path has a Celerity point leading to a room with a dent in the wall (everything in the room is upside down). Interacting with the dent in the wall will trigger amemory of Emem and Hilda’s break-up.
Memory of Journey (6/7)
To obtain this memory, which is also found in the right-hand cell block, players should check the cells in this block for brown glass bottles. When interacted with, these bottlestrigger a vision of Emem and Journey at a nightclub.
Memory of Branding (7/7)
The final memory is found on the fourth floor of the tower, in the same room as the portal leading out of the memory trap. As such, it is easy to miss. Emem should interact with the lit brazier to trigger a memory of Hilda being branded as punishment for Emem murdering the previous Prince’s lackeys, following the blood bond incident.
