Trophies are proof of a player’s skill in battle inValheim. Players can use the heads of the slain as decorations andhangValheimtrophies on the wallsof their homes. But some trophies also have extra uses, like the Drake trophy.
Drakes
Drakes are a flying, dragon-like enemy that appears in the Mountain biome. Drakes have icy breath that can freeze and damage players, but they drop some very coveted loot. Players can gather Freeze Glands from Drakes tomake Frost Arrows inValheim, as well as Drake trophies which can be used to learn and make the Drake Helmet.

The Drake Helmet
The Drake Helmet is a difficult recipe to craft; players need not only 20 Silver, which is made fromsilver ore inValheim, and 2 Wolf Pelts, but also 2 Drake Trophies. The drop rate for these trophies is incredibly low, but the stats of the helmet make it worth the effort. It not only has a massive amount of durability but also grants the wearer up to 26 armor, depending on what level the helmet is crafted up to.
Farming for the Trophy
Since the drop rate for the drake trophy is about 15%, players will have to work hard for the two needed for the helmet. In order to kill as many Drakes as possible, players will want to begin crafting not only the wolf armor, but alsofrost resistance potions inValheim. These potions are made from:
Drakes respawn in-game regularly, but players will want to find a large Mountain Biome in order to find and kill as many of these flying foes as possible. Players can also use portals in order to move easily between smaller patches of Mountains.
Fighting Drakes
While Drakes don’t land inValheim, players can use a harpoon to keep them from flying away too far. The armor and the potions will helpValheimplayers to survive easily in the Mountain Biome’s snow and the drake’s icy attacks. Players will also want to craft the very best bows and arrows they can manage.
Drakes have a very specific pattern of attack that players can easily memorize; they fly to the player, attack with 3 frost breaths, then circle around and repeat. Once players learn the cycle, the frost breath can be dodged easily. If not dodged, the frost will inflict a two-second debuff that slows and damages the player. This should make the drakes a little easier to kill.
