While the most popularTwitchpersonalities tend to stream on the platform at regular intervals, one of the most popular on the entire site has had a decidedly irregular schedule. Now, Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris has finally shed some light on why his time onTwitchhas been sparse of late.

Sodapoppin has been streaming since 2012, making him not only one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, but also one of the most veteran. However, the many years he’s devoted to the profession haven’t always been free from controversy. In fact, he has found himself inhot water on Twitcha few times over the years. However, after Morris explained why he hasn’t been streaming all that much lately, it was made clear his irregular appearances aren’t really about him being in trouble this particular time.

While it’s understandable that people might have thought his recent lack of appearances on the streaming platform had to do with hissecond banning by Twitch, he claimed that it wasn’t the main factor at all. In fact, the popular personality took to Twitter to lay out why he hadn’t been online as much lately, simply saying that he hadn’t really felt like doing it.

He went on to say that he wasn’t going to force himself to stream when he didn’t want to, stating he might be online in the next day or two or he might not. He added that he gave the update about his current feelings when it came to streaming because “people keep asking me if something is up.” Sodapoppin made it clear there wasn’t some bigger issue at work other than he just wasn’t in the mood.

The fact that the streamer is open about not feeling like being in front of the camera at the moment shouldn’t come as a great big surprise. He’s been having a few morerun-ins with Twitchin recent years than he ever did when he was starting out. Granted, even he has admitted more than once that some of the backlash against him has been well deserved.

Interestingly, while he hasn’t been appearing onTwitchall that often these days, he has been putting some more videos on YouTube. As of now, there isn’t any indication that he’s planning tojump ship from Twitch to YouTubelike some other big streamers have, however it’s clear that he’s not as happy doing what he’s doing as he has been in the past. What he chooses to do next is worth watching.
