Ghostbusters: Frozen Empireis a veryexciting watch forGhostbustersfans, but there are a few things that will have audiences questioning, such as motivations, movie-magic moments, or even logical things in-universe for Ghostbusters themselves.

The following entries contain spoilers for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire!
7How Are Stay Puft Marshmallows Still In Business?
Whilstbags of Stay Puft Marshmallowsfeature inGhostbusters: Afterlife, the mid-credits scene forGhostbusters: Frozen Empireshowcases a truck carrying Stay Pufts being hijacked by the mini-pufts. It’s surprising to see that these marshmallows are still around, as after New York City faced a giant marshmallow man, the mascot of the Stay Puft brand, one would assume stock would tank.
It seems that Stay Puft is still going strong in 2021, to the point where truckloads of marshmallows are being delivered. It’s rather odd to see them being manufactured and transported, but maybe seeing roasted marshmallows adorn the streets of Manhattan only fueled people’s hunger for the gooey snack.

6Why Did Winston’s Engineers Wait So Long To Give Out New Equipment?
Are New Proton Packs Reserved for World-Ending Threats?
Towards the finalact ofGhostbusters: Frozen Empire, the team is in desperate need of Proton Packs to do battle with the villainous Garraka. Whilst it’s understandable why the crew has these new packs, as Walter Peck ordered the removal of their equipment, it’s still not clear as to why the engineers bring out the “new” packs so late into the movie.
The Ghostbusters receivenew proton packsand new tools, like the proton gauntlet, but they don’t seem to do anything impressive to warrant them being new. Are they lighter? Or just more trendy with the integrated yellow metal? Either way, it’s understandable why the Ghostbusters received the equipment when they did, but just not why they weren’t given it to begin with.

5Where Did Phoebe Get That Brass From?
Phoebe Seemingly Melts The Station’s Brass Pole, But Doesn’t At The Same Time
When the Ghostbusters realize that Garraka can freeze the streams that come from the proton packs, the team is quickly worried about how they are going to deal with this freezing threat. Luckily, the smartPhoebe Spengler gets to workon adding brass to her proton pack for scientific reasons that will make it effective against Garraka.
Yet, in the quick montage of her gathering brass, it’s not made clear where she got it from. Of course, she got most of it from Nadeem’s grandmother’s ancient relics, but wasn’t she also cutting up the firehouse pole? Yet, other scenes show the pole just fine. Also, she seems to manage to melt brass using a stove, which seems like a pretty hot stove.

4Is There A Reason That The Librarian Ghost Is Still Active?
The Ghostbusters Have Known About The Librarian Since The 80s
It’s pretty comedic to think about how the Librarian Ghost is still haunting the New York Public Library, 40 years after she scared off Ray, Egon, and Peter. Yet, it still raises the question as to whythe Ghostbusters never went backto deal with her. Did the library not want to pay them, or were they too scared? If the answer is the latter, then how come they could deal with a god but not a librarian?
It’s a funny thought, but still one that doesn’t make much sense without context of the situation. After all, Ray is banned from the library, so perhaps they just want to be left alone and allow the ghost to read books and shush people who talk too loud, without proton streams destroying precious books.

3Why Didn’t Winston’s Engineers Move The Ghosts Sooner?
The Containment Unit Isn’t Safe In Central New York City
Catching yet another ghost, Gary notes that the containment unit in the firehouse seems pretty full, as it begins to rumble and shake, like a barrel with too much liquid. When questioning Janine and Winston about it, they show off the new containment unit just outside the city, but since they have been back in New York doing this job for a while, wouldn’t it have been smarter to do this firstin the spooky movie?
There are a lot of ghosts in that containment unit, and when Lucky steps in and says that if Winston’s company were to move ghosts out of the firehouse consistently, it could take several years, it should have been obvious that they should’ve done it sooner. Janine does joke that it wasn’t a priority in the 80s because they didn’t think about the future, but with Winston’s success, surely it should’ve been a focus.

2Did Winston’s Engineers Not Think To Replace The Glass That Contained Possessor?
A Ghost Destroying Its Enclosure Should Be A Top Priority To Fix
The possessor is one of the ghosts that Winston’s engineers are keen to study, as this ghost doesn’t seem to have a form, but can manifest itself in physical items, from trash bags to tennis balls. The Possessor has a few cheeky tricks up its sleeve, and when the facility loses power, it smashes the glass in an attempt to escape.
After a failed attempt, the glass remains cracked, allowing it toslip out unnoticed. Yet, surely the crew should have been pretty concerned about the breach and patched it up with something like a paste for glass, or even a fancy material that could keep the ghost trapped? They might not have had the materials necessary in the hours that followed, but it could’ve been mentioned.

1Did Ray’s Customers Not Care That Their Possessions Were Getting Smashed?
Destroying The Watch Of A Deceased Loved One For Views Is Alarming
Ray and Podcast have teamed up to start a YouTube channel, in which Ray will use a PKE meter to detect paranormal activity on objects provided by customers. There’s a long list of customers waiting, and when they see an item that has no readings on the PKE meter, it gets smashed by a giant hammer, which seems pretty impractical.
What if the relative of a deceased loved one wanted to keep their item? Did they sign a waiver to say it must get smashed? It seems pretty insensitive to destroy a priceless object that belongs to the dead. Although,it is Ray Stantz, so he probably hasn’t figured that one out.
