Even for a game as filled to the brim with content asThe Witcher 3, one player managed to get an absurd amount of time played with it. Every gamer has one or even several games that they could most likely play for hundreds of hours, whether it’s by the game’s design or not. Already there are many stories showcasing the amount of time players have put into games likeElden Ring, with someplayingElden Ringfor as much as 765 hours. This can only be further compounded when delving into MMORPGs, but some players have spent plenty of time with their favorite singleplayer RPGs.
TheWitcher 3is a game packed full of content, whether it’s the main quest, which could take players 50 hours, or the bevy of side quests, which could take players an additional 50 hours, and that’s only in the base game without getting into the expansions or the beloved minigame Gwent. In addition to this, there are plenty of secrets to discover, some of which were added to the game viaThe Witcher 3’s next gen patch. Not only that, but it’s a fairly decent game to replay, with separate paths to choose and multiple endings to receive.

One player seemed to have experienced all the game has to offer, otherwise they wouldn’t have the time played that they did. Posting to r/Witcher3, user AccoBar8508132 posted a screenshot of their time played on their GOG copy ofThe Witcher 3. While for many other players, their playtime would most likely be in the hundreds, this player managed to playThe Witcher 3for 4460 hours, roughly 185 days worth ofThe Witcher 3, with the humorous caption, “I think it’s time to take a break.”
In the comments, many users were enamored by this magnanimous playtime, as they couldn’t manage to beat their second or even third playthrough, while one user said their playtime, which was around the poster’s, took them 36 playthroughs to attain. Of the 4460 hours that the original poster had, they reported that 600 of those hours were dedicated to Gwent, a mini-game so popular inThe Witcher 3thatCD Projekt Red made a standaloneGwentgame.
Whether it’s getting lost in the surprisingly fun mini-games, or just spending one’s time exploring the vast open world, it’s safe to say there is plenty to experience inThe Witcher 3. WithThe Witcher 4apparently some ways away from its release, there is a lot for the sequel to live up to. Though it might have as much or even more content thanThe Witcher 3, there may not be players as dedicated as the one here to put thousands of hours of playtime into it when it finally comes out.
