The Last of Us 2fans have come up with many unique art pieces since the game released. Now, one player has added to the list of great artwork, as their piece features Ellie and otherThe Last of Us 2characters in what looks like a snow globe.
While a snow globe may seem like an odd basis for someLast of Us 2art, it actually makes a lot of sense given the world Ellie lives in. Not only would her and other characters feel trapped due to the world they live in, but Ellie herself became far colder as a person in the sequel. Another interpretation could point out how players are looking in on her story, while the simplest justification is that the piece just looks good. Regardless of the motivation behind the art, it turned out to be terrific.

Made by Reddit user lilwolfie2020, the image stands out clearly due to its unique background. Aside from one small light source in the upper right corner, the image is almost entirely covered in rain. On the floor is a bunch of ice, while the snow globe - or possibly a snowball due to where it is positioned - can be seen resting on the ground. Instead of a white background, though, a colorful pink and blue come together to make a stunning backdrop. In front of this,Ellie can clearly be seenwith her guitar in-hand.
Given that so much of the game focuses on Ellie’s story, it makes sense that she is in the center of the art and larger than the other characters. On her left, Joel can be seen, with his brother Tommy and sister-in-law Maria also on the left side. To Ellie’s right, Jesse, Dina, andbaby JJcan all be seen. A nice touch sees Jesse and Dina talking to each other, while JJ is smiling happily in between them. With all these characters being so important to Ellie, it is nice to see them being represented.
An interesting thing to make note of is that characters like Lev, Owen, and Mel are nowhere to be seen in this snow globe. Clearly, the artist wanted to focus specifically on Ellie’s story. While it would be nice to see a similar image that highlightsAbby’s journey, including her and her supporting cast in this image would not fit. Regardless, the edited image looks great, with the fan including some logos to make their work look more official.
While it will be a while beforeThe Last of Us 2FactionsandThe Last of UsHBO series make their debuts, gamers are clearly keeping busy with projects like this. While there have been plenty of standout creations, lilwolfie2020’s piece is particularly unique.
