While most would agree that theHalo Infinitemultiplayer plays extremely well using a controller on either PC or Xbox, there are a few ways to improve the experience even further. With a few settings tweaks,Halo Infiniteplayers can hit their shots and avoid enemy fire just a little better than they can with the default settings.

Before discussing the bestHalo Infinitecontroller settings, it’s worth mentioning that these might take some getting used to. It’s not a drastic learning curve but depending on how manyHalo Infinitematchesa player has logged, they may be so used to the default settings that these new settings could throw them off for a bit. But once they get used to these settings, they should find their aim is better than it was before.

What Halo Infinite Controller Settings to Change

First up is the movement of the aiming reticule relative to player movement. In the Sensitivity and Acceleration section, we recommend setting the look acceleration to 5, the look sensitivity on the horizontal axis to 5, and the look sensitivity on the vertical axis to 2.5. Speeding up the look sensitivity just a tiny bit will help make those quick turns to engage with an enemy, and it will also allowHalo Infiniteplayers to quickly snap to the ground or a surface totoss a grenade. However, the increase in look speed isn’t so fast that the player will be unable to aim in a long-range gunfight.

For Zoom Sensitivity, we recommend 0.8 but this is where it may vary. SinceHalo Infiniteweaponsare hit scan, players may not spend a lot of time in zoom with their basic run-and-gun weapons. However, if the player regularly picks up the sniper rifle or similar long-range weapon, they may want to increase the sensitivity even further or boost the Zoom Level (which we leave default). This is the sweet spot that we found.

Our recommendations for theHalo InfiniteMove Thumbstick settings are to put the Center Deadzoneone at 0, bump the Max Input Threshold setting all the way up to 15, and put Axial Deadzone at 0. Then on the Look Thumbstick put the Center Deadzone at 8, the Max Input Threshold at 10, and the Axial Deadzone at 3.

The one change that players might want to make to the above settings is to push the Move Thumbstick Center Deadzone up. Setting it to 0 will only work if the Xbox controller has absolutely no drift. Unfortunately, Xbox controllers are known for having a little bit of stick drift, even theXbox Elite Series 2 controller. So, if players notice that it’s hard to keep the reticule centered, they will want to bump up that Deadzone on the Move setting.

As mentioned, it may take some time to get used to these settings, but we have found them to help improve aim response and accuracy inHalo Infinitemultiplayer. That being said, if anything feels off, it’s worth playing around with these settings to really dial them in.
