Screenshots and description details for a PS4 and PS5 remake of the 2010 PSP release ofTactics Ogrehave recently been leaked by PS Deals, a PlayStation Store tracking website. Along with a description of the remake’s features, the leak has also revealed the release date for theSquare Enixremake.
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Togetherwas originally released in 1995 for the SNES before being ported to the Sega Saturn and PlayStation. The second of five titles in theOgre Battleseries of tactical role-playing games developed by Quest Corporation, the franchise is now owned by Square Enix.Tactics Ogreis perhaps most well known for inspiring the laterFInal Fantasy Tacticsby Square, which is widely considered to be one of the finest entries in the entireFinal Fantasyfranchise.Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Togetherwas eventually re-released by Square Enix in 2010 for the PSP.

The leaked details were revealed by PS Deals, a price tracking site that uses the PlayStation Network’s backend to find thebest deals on PlayStation games. The game’s listing on PS Deals is calledTactics Ogre: Rebornand has entries for both PS4 and PS5, with a November 11 release date. The remake will apparently feature numerous gameplay changes, notably a rework of its class system. Rather than management and progression being tied to classes, the game will use a unit-by-unit format similar to many modern tactics RPGs. The remake will feature improved AI, an auto-save feature, a quicker battle system, and an overhaul of the graphics, controls, and UI. The soundtrack has also been re-recorded with live instruments to replace the previously synthesized soundtrack.
A possible PC release may also be in the works sinceTactics Ogre: Rebornwas mentioned as part of last year’s infamous Nvidia leak that spawned tons of rumors of potential upcoming games. PC ports of 2018’sGod of War,Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection,Square Enix’sFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, theChrono Crossremaster, andKingdom Hearts 4are all titles that were listed in the leak which have now been confirmed. Other previously unannounced titles such asCrysis 4,Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, andStreet Fighter 6were also found in the leak.
Square Enix has been on a remake streak in the past few years, withtheFinal Fantasy Pixel Remastergiving the original six titles a major facelift along with the ongoingFinal Fantasy 7remake trilogy. According to the leaked data,Tactics Ogre: Rebornis slated to release on May 13, 2025.
