The much-awaited filmThe Flashwill mark Supergirl’s introduction into the DC Extended Universe. It was previously confirmed that actor Sasha Calle would be donning the cape in the upcoming movie, but what that cape or costume would look like was obviously kept a secret. However, director Andy Muschietti has now offered his followers a sneak peek at the hero’s costume.
Ever sinceThe Flash’s shooting began, Muschietti has been providing constant updates for the project on his Instagram account. In his latest post on Friday, the director has shared a close-up shot of Supergirl’s costume, with the emphasis being on the logo, which looks exactly like the oneworn by Henry Cavill’s Superman.

The costume created for Supergirl’s DCEU debut uses the traditional red and blue colors from the comics but seems like a funky, upgraded version. The pattern of the fabric is similar to the one worn by the Man of Steel, which could mean that it has a similar level of armor. The suit also seems to be designed with a two-tone color scheme. The shoulders and arms appear to be red, whereas the torso area uses blue fabric, which makes it slightly different from its comic counterpart.
The image of the Supergirl costume posted by Muschietti is similar to the other first looks he has shared in the past two weeks. Previously, he had posted pictures of Barry Allen’s new costume andBatman’s classic suit with the yellow bat insignia, which is similar to the one that Michael Keaton wore when he played the role of the Caped Crusader. Each image focuses on the suit’s chest logo, obviously teasing fans of what’s to come.
The director had first confirmed thatCalle had been cast as SupergirlinThe Flashmovie in February. He had posted the virtual conversation he had with the actor, which announced her selection, on his Instagram account. The young actor was visibly emotional after finding out that she had been chosen to play the role. Since then, he and his producer sister Barbara Muschietti have also confirmed, via posts on Instagram, that there are two Bruce Wayne actors present on set. It was previously revealed that both Ben Affleck and Keaton would be returning to reprise their roles as Batman, but they will obviously be different versions of the popular hero.
The next suit that could potentially be revealed by Muschietti would then be Affleck’s Batman costume. Fans last saw Affleck suit up inZack Snyder’s Justice League, which marked the end of his Batman run.Robert Pattinson will be the next actorto take on the mantle in the upcoming filmThe Batman.
The Flashis scheduled to be released in theaters on June 15, 2025.
