ASkyrimplayer online has claimed their horse “became Michael Jackson” upon the discovery of a weird glitch. It’s a strange sight indeed, but there are plenty of odd occurrences happening inSkyrimon a daily basis, even twelve years after it was first released by Bethesda.

Over the years, we’ve seen some hilariousSkyrimglitches appear online. Most of them are harmless, and even add to the experience by making gamers laugh at the absurdity of the situation. One oddSkyrimglitch made a potato look possessed, so there are certainly some interesting things that can happen in the game. It’s always good fun when things like this happen inSkyrim, but it’s less so when these bugs are game-breaking issues. Thankfully,Skyrimdoesn’t suffer from many game-breaking problems anymore, with Bethesda patching them out over the years.

Redditor Visionaira posted the hilarious clip of theirhorse inSkyrim, which appears to show them doing Michael Jackson’s signature move - the moonwalk. The similarity is clear, and amazingly it looks exactly like the moonwalk that people know and love. As for what’s actually happening - the horse appears to be walking backwards, but it’s playing the animations as if the horse was walking forward. The result is a thrilling homage to the King of Pop, and one that most viewers will remember for some time.

Other users in the thread got incredibly creative, even going as far as to replace some of the lyrics from Billie Jean with the word Dovahkiin. It works far better than it should, but it’s only possible because of this hilarious glitch. AnotherSkyrimglitch allows players to fly through the air on their horse, but that one is not quite as funny as what is shown here. The amount of glitches featuring horses goes to show just how janky they can be at times, though it’s ultimately part of the charm.

Hopefully, Bethesda innovates on thehorse gameplay inThe Elder Scrolls 6. There are many players who feel it was a weak point ofSkyrim, but that can be put down to it not exactly aging gracefully. With RPGs such asThe Witcher 3andAssassin’s Creed: Odysseyhaving such strong horse mechanics, Bethesda has no excuses for a sequel. The blueprint for great horse gameplay is there, and Bethesda should ensure it doesn’t miss the mark once again. The studio now has a unique opportunity to take one of the weaker features ofSkyrimand turn it into a highlight ofThe Elder Scrolls 6.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Editionis out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
