Perhaps for a more realistic andbrutal survival gameexperience, the game doesn’t always tell players everything. However,Palm Frond is a relatively easy resource to gethold of once players know how to get it with a few simple tips.

What Is Palm Frond, And What To Make With It?

InStranded Deep, Palm Frond essentially refers to theleaves of palm trees. Palm Frond is a necessary natural resource ingredient for various crafting recipes, including ashelterandwater stillfor getting water.

Palm Fronds can also be used asfuelto help keep fires goingwhen making fires, so they can be a handy backup item if players run out of other fire-making resources like sticks.

How To Get Palm Frond

The first step to getting Palm Frond is tochop down palm trees. However, as palm trees grow coconuts, one of the game’s most valuable resources, it’s important that players don’t go chopping them all down assome trees do not grow back. If players run out of resources that do not respawn, they’ll need to search other islands to replenish supplies.

To begin with, choose 1 or 2 palm trees and chop them down by repeatedly hacking with the Refined Knife or Stone Tool, depending upon the player’s inventory, until the tree topples over. Stand in front of the fallen palm tree leaves, known as a Palm Bunch, and chop them repeatedly using a chopping tool like the Stone Tool, which releases around5 individual Palm Frondsthat are essentially the big palm tree leaves.

Players can store Palm Fronds in their backpack inventory or add them to storage containers for later use, using the crafting menu to navigate and pin craftable items they want to make using their newly found resources. It’s also worth noting thatYoung Palm Trees give players fibrous leaveswhen chopped instead of Fronds, and it’s not possible to get Palm Fronds by climbing a tree or before a palm tree is cut down. Performing actions like getting Palm Fronds also helps level up players' Harvesting capabilities, unlocking new crafting recipes as players craft new items.
