Tokyo Game Show is the premier Japanese game conference and has been running since 1996. The yearly event is held at Makuhari Messe, with this year’s show being a blend of in-person and digital presentations. Recently, theTokyo Game Show 2021 schedule was released, listing the many developers who will be attending and when fans can tune in to watch them. Square Enix provided a brief description of its event, noting it would be covering previously announced games as well as some new ones, but nothing overly specific was mentioned.

Square Enix updated its website to include extensive information about its presence at Tokyo Game Show Online 2021. Starting with the games that will be shown, there are many confirmed titles that fans have seen before:

Final Fantasy fans have a lot to look forward it seems, with updates onStranger of Paradise, the interesting hack n' slashFinal Fantasyprequel, andThe First Soldier, the peculiarFinal Fantasy 7battle royale. After theincredibleForspokentrailer at PlayStation Showcase 2021, which debuted more of the game’s world and combat, it will be exciting to see more of it in action.

On to Square Enix’s schedule, where the company will be streaming content throughout the entirety of TGS Online 2021. On Friday, October 1, fans can tune in to watch its opening “Square Enix Presents” show, then a “Lounge Jam” that focuses on Square Enix’s music, and finally a presentation onForspoken. Following the newGuardians of the Galaxytrailer setting up its Church of Truth conflict, the game will open Square Enix Presents Day 2 on Saturday, October 2, withStranger of Paradiseappearing later in the day. To close out TGS Online 2021, on Sunday, October 3, Square Enix will end its conference with a special livestream dedicated toThe First Soldier.

Square Enix seems to be going all-in at this year’s TGS 2021 with everything it has confirmed. What’s more, there are still announcements to be made and more games to come. It would be incredible to seeFinal Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2orFinal Fantasy 16, considering its last appearance was back at the original PS5 unveiling, but it is probably best not to get one’s hopes up. One thing that should be hoped for is that more companies take afterSquare Enixand share its TGS plans.
