Spider-ManInto the Spider-Verse’supcoming sequel may have an official title. According to a report, the official title of the long-awaited sequel will beSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
TheSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Versesequel will be the second film that follows up the storyline of Miles Morales. This first film paid homage to many of theother existing versions of Spider-Manfrom alternate universes. Each universe has differences from the Spider-Man canon most fans are familiar with.

Per the Cosmic Circus, the purportedSpider-Man: Into Spider-Versesequel title was leaked by a Linkedin listing. The post in question comes from a CFX supervisor who worked on the firstSpider-Versefilm. While it was quickly taken down, many were able to get a screenshot and shared the post online. Keep in mind this is just a leak, as no official title has been revealed by the creators, but if the post was taken down swiftly, then it may point more toward it being legit.
The title also alludes to what fans shouldexpect inSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2. The first movie did a good job at introducing fans to the multiverse and the concept of multiple Spider-Men being involved (which is why the title used the word ‘into’). So if the sequel will be titledAcross the Spider-Verse, this implies that Miles Morales will venture into many different universes, as opposed to several versions of Spider-Man arriving in his, as was the case with the original film.
Miles Morales is quickly growing into a very popular character who many love, which is a good thing. The character brings a whole new level of depth to theSpider-Manworld, which would’ve been missing had the character not joined. Miles even starred in his own game that many were playing in anticipation ofthe upcomingSpider-Mansequel from Insomniac games.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verseput Miles in a very good light while having him front and center. With that being said, let’s hope it’s not too long before fans get a chance tosee Miles Morales wear the Spider-Man suitin the live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe one day.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 03, 2025.
