It seemsMinecraftplayers aren’t happy with the Java Edition’s newMinecraftLauncheras it’s causing a multitude of issues in the 3D Sandbox game. Although this launcher was introduced to give PC players more accessibility to the game, many are reporting difficulties with the launcher where the game fails to start, takes a long time to load, or does not load at all.
In an example, Minecraftplayers have reported the error message: “Launching the game failed! Unable to copy file. Error details: The system cannot move the file to a different disk drive.” Others are seeing: “MinecraftLauncher is not available in your account. Error code: 0x803F8001.” The error message: “Pixel format not accelerated” is being reported from players whose driver malfunctioned due to the launcher orthe player having an out-of-date graphics card.

This new launcher consolidatesMinecraftgames, such as thedungeon crawler and action-adventure:Minecraft DungeonsandMinecraft Bedrock Edition, for easy access, especially for Windows 10 and 11 users. However, players have described specific problems when attempting to launch their games. Per Reddit, players have claimed a two-hour download time or no loading at all. It’s also been reported that there are issues with modding, problematic framerates, and the infamous blue screen.
In a video created by YouTuber DCMX Gaming, he gives a tutorial on fixing issuesregarding downloadingMinecraftmodswhen using the new launcher. His solution involves returning to the old launcher in which compatibility is still good with Windows 10. Other solutions that have surfaced are the typical “restart your PC” request, checking if the player’s antivirus or firewall software is blocking the launcher, uninstall and reinstalling the launcher, or downloading the launcher directly from the Microsoft Store.
At times like this, it’s awesome that players come together to help one another fix their launching issues, posting videos, and suggestions, at least until developers come to their aid.Minecraftdeveloper Mojang provides much supportthrough the Minecraft Support Center and its MojangTwitter page. It asks that players submit screenshots to help identify the issue and get an immediate fix.
TheMinecraftLauncher is free to use, but the games require purchase. The launcher is also made to detect saved files and migrate them over upon login, so players don’t need to panic. Hopefully, withupcomingMinecraftupdates and patches, the troubles with launchingMinecraftwill fade, and players can enjoy building without interruptions.
