Call of Duty: WarzoneSeason 4 has been the most warmly received update in a while, and a large part of that positivity is tied to Fortune’s Keep. This new, small-sized map even hides an entertaining Easter egg, though it seems like this secret has a chance to breakCall of Duty: Warzone.

When playing on Fortune’s Keep, gamers can complete a small quest to spawn in an AI-controlled Zombie. With fans previously teased aboutthe undead returning toCall of Duty: Warzone, it seems like this Easter egg is exactly what was being hinted at. Normally, players light up three candles in the graveyard and pay their respects at a gravestone to spawn in a Zombie, with the key detail being that only a single zombified foe is meant to appear.

When Reddit user TheMeatMaker and their friends did this Easter egg, though,Fortune’s Keepquickly became infested with the undead. For whatever reason, the game bugged out and spawned numerous Zombies into the map, with the players laughing as they ran across the play space with a horde of undead following them around. One member of the group remarked that other players in the lobby were likely terrified to see so many Zombies running around, a statement that is difficult to argue against.

Eventually, the game crashed due to the undead horde, withCall of Duty: Warzone’s new mapclearly not meant to support this many AI-controlled character models. In the comments section, TheMeatMaker provided some details about the bug, saying that they managed to trigger it in other matches and get into team fights while the Zombies swarmed around them. However, they do not share how exactly it was pulled off. Based on the footage, multiple players spamming the button to “pay respects” at the gravestone could be the key to success for those hoping to replicate it.

It is worth noting that thisCall of Duty: Warzonebugusually crashes the game, so TheMeatMaker seems certain that it will be patched by Raven Software. While it may be fun to see a few dozen Zombies roaming Fortune’s Keep instead of just one, it is not worth the entire match being ruined. Further, most of the lobby’s players would likely have no idea why such a crash took place, adding to the frustration. Even if the bug is patched soon, though, fans can continue to watch this fun clip.

PerhapsCall of Duty: Warzone’s next Haunting eventwill feature Zombies on a larger scale once again, though this is purely speculation. Right now, fans desperate to have an encounter with the undead inCall of Duty: Warzonewithout crashing the game should make sure that they only spawn in a single Zombie on Fortune’s Keep.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
