Released in Version 4.7 ofGenshin Impact, Sethos joins Clorinde, who was released at the same time, in being the first Electro characters added to the game since Cyno in Version 3.1. In addition to that, he’s only the third male Electro character added, following Razor and Cyno, who both share his canine theming.
Players looking to add Sethos to their team will likely want to be sure that he’s operating at maximum efficiency. This will require ascending him and upgrading his talents, which will be possible with the items outlined in this guide.

Sethos Ascension Materials
Dotted around the Sumeru deserts and rainforests are various Eremite camps, where the mercenary enemies can be found and defeated. They’ll drop their eye coverings upon defeat, which Sethos needs for his ascension. Additionally, he’ll need some Vajrada Amethyst, the previously-unused Trishiraite, and a boss material from Chenyu Vale. For a text-only version of this table,click here.

Gemstones - Where to Find Vajrada Amethyst
All Electo characters need some Vajrada Amethyst to ascend. This purple gem can be found in a few different ways, but most of it will come as a reward for defeating corresponding bosses:
*Azhdaha and the Primo Geovishap can only drop Vajrada Amethyst when infused with Electro!
Local Specialty - Where to Find Trishiraite
For some time, Trishiraite was a completely unused-item. Fortunately, Sethos would finally provide a use for this regional specialty. This red gem can be found in the Girdle of the Sands region of Sumeru’s northern desert.
Boss Drop - How to Get Cloudseam Scale
Everything about Sethos’s design, theming, and ascension materials is very Sumeru-esque. The only holdout to this is his boss material, which is the Cloudseam Scale dropped by the Solitary Suanni. This mystical beast can be found in Chenyu Vale.
Enemy Drop - Where to Find Eremite Cloths
Eremites use various types of red cloth to cover their eyes. When defeated, they’ll drop these items, which are then used in some characters' ascension, including Sethos. At higher levels, Eremites can drop better items:

Talent Books - Praxis
The Steeple of Ignorance domain is the source of the Sumeru talent books, including the Praxis series used by Sethos. This specific series can only be obtained by clearing the domain on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Trounce Materials - Daka’s Bell
Reliving the fight against the Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom in the Joururi Workshop trounce domain can result in obtaining some unique items. One of these is Daka’s Bell, which Sethos uses in his talent upgrades.
