Additionally, there are questions about how the game plans to handle its story within the Arkham universe and how it might lead up to the next title. In one of its recent Q&A sessions, Rocksteady hinted that Brainiac may be alive at the end ofSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. With regard toa new ArkhamBatmangame afterSuicide Squad, the studio’s Associate Design Director Johnny Armstrong urged caution for fans. Armstrong stated that they should not get their hopes up just yet, as Rocksteady hasn’t outright confirmed or denied the possibility of another Batman-centric game anytime soon.
ButSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueisn’t the only major DC game in development. Fans are already growing in anticipation of the eventual reveal of Monolith’sWonder Womangame. Not much is known about the project, apart from the possibility thatMonolith’sWonder Womancould have live-service elementsand rumors that suggest some movement mechanics similar toCrackdown. It’s also reportedly aiming to utilize WB’s proprietary Nemesis system, though it remains to be seen how the game will incorporate all of these aspects should the speculations prove true. In any case, it appears 2024 will be an interesting year for DC fans all around.
