Last year, Remedy Entertainment releasedControl, which is an action-adventure game revolving around the mysterious organization known as the Federal Bureau of Control. Although the game’s commercial performance had a slow start,Controlreceived mostly positive reviews from game critics. Now, Remedy Entertainment announced thatControlhad passed a new sales milestone, with the game selling over 2 million copies.
According to the company’s figure during its first-ever Capital Markets Day presentation,Controlis now the fastest-growing IP for the studio sinceMax Payne. The key factor contributing to the game’s eventual commercial success isControlbeing Remedy’s first “truly multi-platform” title in years. The game is currently available on the PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. It is worth noting that previous Remedy games such asAlan WakeandQuantum Breakwere exclusively released for the Xbox and PC.
