It’s hard to believe thatRed Dead Redemption 2, the critically acclaimed sequel to Rockstar Games' cult classic titleRed Dead Redemption, has been out for almost two years now. Though, the PC version ofRed Dead Redemption 2has been out for a little over half a year. Since that time, players have noticed quite a lot of bugs, glitches, and other technical issues included in the PC version. However, Rockstar Games has now put out a patch that hopefully addresses these issues.

For how large the game is and how much there is to do in it, there were bound to be glitches that found their way past initial QA testing. These glitches range from minor clipping, to frame rate drops, to having the game crash entirely. Though, admittedly some of these glitches are rather hilarious, especiallythe issues withRed Dead’sbathtub.

As amusing as these glitches can sometimes be, they are also rather irksome at times, especially considering that most players are primarily trying to immerse themselves inthe story, characters, and world ofRed Dead Redemption 2, only to then encounter a glitch that breaks the composition of the whole experience. Conversely, the game can also crash as a result of certain hardware configurations, which is why Rockstar has gone through the game and have since patched the PC version of the game to not have said glitches.

The most recent patch of the PC version fixes a lot of technical problems with the game. Many of which had to do with the game not starting up due to issues with certain graphics cards, Intel processors, various system configurations. Rockstar also fixed many sporadic crashes that occurred during Story Mode andRed Dead Online.

It’s nice to see that Rockstar continues to maintain its games well after their release. While continually patching and updating a game has become rather commonplace in this era of gaming, these bigger games require the most amount of attention, considering how manyRed Deadglitchesultimately slip through the cracks due to the size and scale of the game. Regardless, it’s nice to see that Rockstar continues to makeRed Dead Redemption 2accessible to as many players as possible.

Red Dead Redemption 2is the latest and greatest title released by Rockstar Games. Since its release back in October of 2018,Red Dead Redemption 2has been met with an incredible amount of success and is beloved by consumers and critics alike.
