With the recent release ofRainbow Six Siegeyear 7 season 4, “Operation Solar Raid,” comes the announcement ofa new map for playersto test their mettle. The Nighthaven Labs maphas received mixed reviews since its debut. Some players argue that it’s too confusing, with their chief complaint being an inability to easily navigate between floors. Other players, however, have praised the new map, calling it one of the best to come out.

Either way, players can’t ban the map this season inRainbow Six Siege.Since they’ll have to play it eventually, it’ll be a lot easier with some helpful tips to make their run as smooth as possible, whether on the offensive or defensive side of things.
6Hard Breach When Possible
There are plenty of places throughout the Nighthaven Labs whereplayers can breachtheir way through walls. Doing this is essential to survival and gaining a better vantage point for taking out the defenders. The alternative is for everyone to pile through narrow doorways, where they can easily be picked off one at a time.
These walls are not reinforced and are easily detectable from the rest. Players should take them out from a distance, position themselves with cover, and take out enemies as they reveal themselves. This is one of the best ways to gain leverage over the map.

5Almost The Entire Floor Can Be Breached
This goes two ways. Players can be at a disadvantage because the floorcan be breachednearly everywhere. So, if they’re not careful, they can be taken out by the enemy fire.

At the same time, this provides a unique vantage point between floors for them to sight and eliminate defenders. They can take cover and see through the holes they make in the floor to get the perfect shot. This provides excellent defensive strategy options for the defenders and an offensive advantage for the attackers. Angles can be created from the top floor all the way to the basement’s exterior breach wall.
4Pressure The Top Floor From Multiple Angles
When players are on the top floor, they’ll need to provide pressure from several different angles to take out the defenders. The best strategy for this is to open up as many breach points as possible and come at the opposition from multiple different areas.
One key strategy is to take the rafters and hold the position whilefiring on the defenders. This will allow the attacking team to effectively destroy the opposition while not taking any hits, surviving round one. They’ll also want to look for all access points where they can fire on the enemy, which can include floor-level openings that are perfect for surprise attacks.

3Execute A Powerful Defense
There are two potentialstrategies for defensethat could work well for players on this side of the fence. First, defensive players can go all-in with a full-press challenge against the attacking players. This will cause the offense to have to fight for every single step forward they gain.

Second, they can focus on slowing down the opposition by using wall denial operations. This will force the attack into a last minute execution, which can be quite risky for them and enable the defense to have a better shot at making it out alive.
When players are on the attacking team, they’ll need to take a head-on strategy to get the best results. They can do this by taking control of stairwells and opening the breaches. Pressure will be put on the defense once the rafters are taken on the second floor and the exterior breach is opened in the basement.

They won’t need to put a lot of focus into clearing out anybody roaming on the surrounding floors unless they are holding the area vertically, which can pose a problem for the offense. The offensive teamwill need to ensure they have a solid breacher along with their entry ops for this map.
1Consider Mapping Out A Plan
Because the map is new, there are a lot of unknowns. One way to alleviate this is by going in with a team and exploring the map in Custom. The team can establish a game plan while learning all the ins and outs of the map. They’ll find all the breach points and note the differences in where the floor is soft and where it is solid.
It can be considered from bothperspectives of offenseand defense. While this may not seem like the most fun or best use of players' time, it can be beneficial when it’s time to actually play the map. While the map is still relatively new, getting a plan of action together will put the team at a higher advantage than most players will have who are going in blind.

Rainbow Six Siegeis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
