To cap off a busy 2021, Niantic is once again doing something special to celebrate Community Day in December forPokemon GOtrainers. While typical Community Day events happen on one Sunday each month, shining a spotlight on a particular Pokemon, December’s event is one that is given a much bigger scale to work with, as well as both Saturday and Sunday. Similar to last year, Niantic isshowcasing over 20 Pokemon across the entire weekend, highlighting those from both 2020 and 2021.
Pokemon GO’s December Community eventkicks off on December 18 from 11:00am to 5:00pm local time and fans will start to see increased spawn rates of Fletchling, Gible, Machop, Roselia, Snivy, and Swablu in the wild. The following day on December 19 from 11:00am to 5:00pm local time, Duskull, Eevee, Oshawott, Shinx, and Tepig will be featured heavily in the wild.

In addition to these Pokemon and bonuses, Community Day also brings with itSpecial movesets for various Pokemonas well as unique Research Tasks that players can complete to earn additional rewards, materials, and items to use. These are the game’s mainline quests that remain in place until a player successfully finishes it, unlike the more limited time event ones. Here’s a complete list of all the Special Research Tasks coming toPokemon GOduring December’s Community Weekend event.

Right off the bat,Pokemon GOplayers will have the following tasks to complete:

Community Day Quest Step 2
Finishing the first set of quests will unlock the next set. While not particularly difficult, players will want to continue catching as many Community Day pokemon as they can. Here are the second set of quests:

Things start to get a little more difficult with the third set of tasks, adding in moreskilled type moves like Pokeball curveball throws.
1 Elite Fast TM
Community Day Quest Step 4
While there is technically a fourth step to this questline, Niantic basically gives out everything to players without requiring anything in return. For players that have made it to this step, they can simply claim all of the rewards.
