Like the recent Catching Some Z’s event,the developers at Niantichave no shortage of engaging festivities. This particular event came into existence due to the occasion of the latestPokemon GOPlus+ device release. The event comes with multiple rewards and bonuses with themed encounters and items. One of these themed encounters is the Normal-type Pocket MonsterKomala.
The Drowsing Pokemon first debuted in Pokemon Sun & Moon, and now it has made its way toPokemon GO. The monster is a worldwide spawn available in the wild during the Catching Some Z’s event. The event starts on July 15, 10 am and ends the next day on July 16, 8 pm local time. That said, here is everything known about Komala in the game.

How to get Komala in Pokemon GO
Since theCatching Some Z’s eventfeatures sleepy and dreamy Pocket Monsters, it is understandable forPokemon GOto release Komala. The Normal-type monster is a wild spawn during event hours, and players must persistently hunt for it. The two-day event allows trainers to get multiple Komala if they make proper strategies.
Players can utilize thePokemon GONearbyfeature to look for Komala’s dark silhouettes. There are also several in-game items and functions to increase Pokemon spawn rates. Players can use Incense and Lure Modules along with the Weather Boost function to increase the Komala spawn probability.
Since Komala’s spawn rate increases in Partly Cloudy weather, players need to hunt Komala around areas with such weather conditions. Attach a Lure Module to a PokeStop or Gym with Partly Cloudy weather, then activate aPokemon GOIncenseand walk around that area to increase Komala’s spawn rate during the event. This strategy will be helpful even when the monster is featured in another event or becomes a common wild spawn.
Can Komala Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?
Pokemon GOdevelopersare infamous for delaying Shiny debuts. Most Shiny Pokemon are added months or even years after the original variant’s release. The same is the case with Shiny Komala; players have to wait till Niantic developers decide to debut the variant in the future. AlthoughShiny Komala is currently unavailable in the game, players might wonder about its evolutionary line.
Can Komala Evolve in Pokemon GO?
Currently, Komala is the sole member of its evolutionary line. There is no pre- or post-evolution for this monster inPokemon GOor any other game. Though players might be slightly disappointed by this news, one can still catch multiple Komala and ready their Candy. There is no saying when Komala might get an evolution update.
