A Redditor named IanFelinne took the box art legendaries and transformed them into pixel art posts on the r/pokemon subreddit. For Xerneas, the artist had them facing the right, with their multicolored horns and royal blue body standing out against the black background. While Xerneas' lower body, tail, and legs are usually black, the OP lightened them up a bit to make them easier to see. The horns on Xerneas were lit up, which indicated it was ready for a battle. As for Yveltal, the OP stated that they created pixel art of the Destruction Pokemon sometime after Xerneas was already finished.
However, they waited to post them as a pair. The artwork showed Yveltal gearing up to use its Oblivion Wing attack, with a dark swirl surrounding its tail and its wings pulsing with energy. The Destruction Pokemon faced towards the left, seemingly toward Xerneas. The OP received compliments from otherPokemonfans for their effort.
