On Reddit, a French user named tyranosaure created a digital painting of Magikarp and Gyarados and posted his work across social media and the Gaming subreddit. Some of the OP’s previous work included anincredible painting based onThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. According to the OP, he used ClipStudio Paint as one of the main programs for this digital art piece and said that he drew inspiration from studying Mayan murals in the past, and from past fan art of the aquatic Pokemon. Starting with one of his old drawings as the main outline, tyranosaure loaded up his programs and re-created Magikarp and Gyarados into a digital format. Both of the Pokemon faced left, with various waves and cacti surrounding them in the artwork. Some elaborate, circular patterns were added to Gyarados' back and its half-shut eyelid. The OP used a canvas texture to make the final artwork have a dusty appearance.

For his work, tyranosaure’s depiction of Magikarp and Gyarados received over 28K upvotes on Reddit in under a day. In the comments,Pokemontrainers widely praised the OP for his efforts in bringing one ofthe most-liked Fish Pokemonto life in a new way.
