Summary
With theFalloutfranchise’s recent surge in popularity following the premiere of its very own TV series, one creative fan of thePokemonfranchise has devised their own new form for Klinklang that takes inspiration from the Vault door designs seen in theFalloutgames. Fans of thePokemongames are constantly demonstrating their creativity through custom creature designs of their own, though this certainly isn’t the first time fan artists have themed their Pokemon designs on other franchises.
It feels as though there’s a virtually endless archive of awesomePokemonfan art out there, with artists showing off all sorts of designs such as new megas, regional variants, Eeveelutions, and more throughout the decades of thePokemonfranchise’s popularity. Unofficial crossovers with other franchises are also fairly common, and there are plenty of examples ofPokemonenthusiasts applying inspiration from other major franchisessuch asThe Legend of Zelda,Halo, andFalloutin their work.

Though other artists have recently shown off some of their ownPokemonartwork featuring content from theFalloutgames, an artist who goes by the name rc1246 recently shared their design of a new Klinklang form. This particular Pokemon doesn’t often seem to get that much love from fans, but this spectacular design gives it a completeFallout-themed makeover. Its most obvious adaptation comes with the Vault door imagery in the design, although the cartoonish face added to this variant also somewhat resembles that of Vault Boy’s, the mascot of the Vault-Tec corporation as well as theFalloutseries as a whole.
How Pokemon Fans Creatively Use Other Franchises to Their Advantage
While theFalloutseries has long been an iconic and widely-beloved IP within the gaming world, its popularity has exploded yet again with therecent debut of the officialFalloutTV series, which has been met with considerably high praise from critics and fans alike. For the uninitiated, though,Fallout’s Vaults serve double as both long-term shelters to preserve human residents following a nuclear event, as well as to allow for often unethical experimentation on such residents for scientific pursuits. Vaults and their easily-recognizable doors are thus an iconic part of the franchise, and are quite cleverly implemented into the design of this fanmade Steel and Dark-type Klinklang variant.
The appeal ofFallout’s TV show has ushered in plenty of new fans of the franchise, with increased player counts across the entire range ofFalloutgames attributed to both veteran fans returning to the series for new playthroughs and totally fresh-faced players trying out the games for the first time. While it will likely be a while yet beforethe next officialFallouttitleis released to the world, the existing games offer more than enough content for new fans to sink their teeth into.
