Palworld’s Daedream is a Dark-type Pal that gives off an eerie vibe with its haunting expression and mystifying eyes, with an appearance thatresembles Misdreavus of thePokemonfranchise.Daedreamcan be discovered in the early game, but does come with its own conditions, and it is one of the few dark types available in the first few hours of a playthrough. Daedream is effective in combat and base utility, though it may give off the appearance of a frail Pal. Nevertheless, it remains one of the more versatile of the Dark types to add to a base.
Daedream packs a good attack and a Dark type that is quite limited early on inPalworld, withothers like Mauand Depresso being available around the same time. Though it may come off as weak at first, Daedream has an array of moves that will keep enemy foes away while chipping away at their HP. Meanwhile, back at the base, Daedream is versatile in the tasks it can complete.
For newer players, this is one Pal that should be caught as soon as possible. Its worth on the base is exceptionally high.
Where to Find Daedream

The quickest way to spot a Daedream is through a journey in a dungeon. These ghost-like Pals will be roaming certain rooms, alternating with the manyFuddlerand Mau that also spawn. Typically, they spawn in groups of two and will attempt to evade any altercation. Once prompted to battle, both Daedream will trigger their attack phase and begin to attack the player. It’s best to remain at a distance, as these Pals can do some damage when combining attacks.
As the map indicates, Daedream are not limited to dungeon encounters — in fact, they can be discovered early on, but only at nighttime. Staying true to their Dark type, Daedream doesn’t spawn during daylight, only coming out when the moon is up. Thankfully, they spawn multiples at a time, much more plentiful compared to their dungeon spawns.
This makes adding Daedream to the Paldeck an easy task, and catching ten of them to complete the entry shouldn’t take too long, either. Just be sure topack some warm clothingor a torch to fight off those freezing temperatures. Daedream is also an excellent source of Venom Glands, good for crafting Venom Bows and Arrows.

What’s Daedream Good for?
Daedream is a busy body back at the base, playing the role of helper when it comes to gathering resources. Its combination of handiwork, transporting, and gathering will have this Pal zipping from one end of the base to the other, collecting items and dropping them off into storage. Having two of them out at the same time will ensure no items are left unattended for long.
ItsPartner Skill, Dream Chaser, is quite unique compared to other Pals. To unlock it, players must craft the Daedream Collar, which can be unlocked with Technology Points after reaching Player Level 8. Regarded as one of the most powerful Partner Skills in the early game, equipping this will have any Daedreams in the party follow the player, launching a barrage of magical bullets when the player prompts an attack.
While this is perfect for situations when a player must engage in combat — specifically boss fights — it acts as a negative when attempting to catch Pals, as the gathered Daedream cannot be re-called and will continue attacking until the enemy Pal is defeated.

Is Daedream Strong?
Daedream is quite efficient when it comes to combat, as it can cause status effects and propel enemies back, making the player’s job as easy as sticking to attacking from a distance. Daedream’s move pool is best suited for carrying Dark-type moves only, but the variety of these attacks can leavethe critters ofPalworldin trouble if they’re not careful.
The aforementioned Daedream Collar also makes Daedream a worthy ally to carry onto the field, and makes tough battles feel slightly less like a pain. Just be careful when equipping them, as they turn into killing machines and will stop at nothing until any Pal in their way is taken care of. If players are looking to fill out their Paldeck, leave Daedream back at the base.
