One Piece’s Egghead Island arc continues in full flow with each chapter surpassing the previous one. Oda appears to be fired up for writing one of the most intriguing acts in the story. While the intensity was expected to go down after Wano, as is expected during the initial stages of a new arc, Egghead Island goes far beyond the expectations of the fans. Last week, fans got to seeall the bodies of Dr. Vegapunkand, most importantly, a shocking reveal that Egghead Island was set in the past was made.

One Piece1066 will most likely be a pivotal chapter in not just the Egghead Island arc itself, but the entire series of One Piece.If Dr. Vegapunk continuesfrom where he left off, fans might find out information pertaining to the Ancient Kingdom, which is one of the most elusive mysteries that Oda has carefully crafted over the years. That, and much more can be tackled inOne Piece1066.
One Piece 1066: The Crumbs Of Ancient Kingdom
Towards the end of the previous chapter, fans were utterly shocked whenthe Straw Hat Piratesmet the first body of Dr. Vegapunk, named Shaka. Shaka welcomed the crew in quite a friendly manner, however, he wasted no time with pleasantries. Immediately, he revealed shocking facts about Egghead Island. As fans know, the island looks quite modern. Even by the standards of someone like Franky, the place looks set several hundred years into the future. However, Shaka was quick to shoot that speculation down. In fact, he revealed tothe Straw Hat crewand, by extension the fans, that Egghead Island is actually set in the past. This was immediately backed up by Oda drawing Luffy and his other crewmates coming across what appeared to be a junkyard full of ancient technology.
Vegapunk went on to reveal that 900 years ago, there existed a kingdom that prospered on the seas of theOne Pieceworld. This kingdom possessed technology that was incredibly advanced for its time and that exact technology is what fans find at Egghead Island.One Piece1066 will likely tackle this plot point and deliver key bits of information about the Ancient Kingdom from 900 years ago. The crew most likely find out about the ancient technology and perhaps a few more intriguing secrets about it and its eventual destruction.
One Piece 1066: Vegapunk’s Real Body
Dr. Vegapunk is arguably the most important character in the Egghead Island Arc, aside from the Straw Hat Pirates. From the very beginning of this arc, fans were slowly introduced to his many bodies, and his genius was illustrated by Oda in the most exquisite fashion, showing that he was capable of splitting himself into six bodies and controlling them effortlessly. In the previous chapter, fans were finally able to see the remaining bodies of the genius doctor of the Navy and now, all his bodies have finally been revealed. Curiously, however, if Vegapunk has split himself into six bodies, the real one must exist somewhere and he may make his debut inOne Piece1066.

This is further backed up by the fact that Vegapunk has been called an old man on several occasions in the story. Even at the beginning of the Egghead Island arc, Nico Robin refused to believe that Vegapunk was a woman as she too had heard tales of him being an old man. All the bodies that the fans have seen of him so far are quite young and efficient. Vegapunk himself is likely to be an old person and this identity of his might be revealed in chapter 1066 ofOne Piece. It is possible that this body of Vegapunk will emerge in front of Sanji’s group as he is the one closest to wisdom, Shaka. However, Luffy and his group are also exploring the island and they may be the ones who come across the true body of the Navy genius.
One Piece 1066: The Revolutionary Army Connection
Provided that Dr. Vegapunk makes his appearance inOne Piece1066, fans might even find out about theRevolutionary Army and their connection to Vegapunk. In chapter 1064, Shaka, the first body of Dr. Vegapunk, was talking to Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army. Shaka mentioned that he believes that his time is coming to an end and that he will soon die. While the conversation between the two continued for a panel or two, the important takeaway was that the two were connected to each other somehow. However, where this connection stems from hasn’t been revealed to the fans just yet. If Vegapunk’s real body does emerge in the next chapter, fans might finally find out how the most brilliant mind in the world is connected to the World’s Worst Criminal.
Together, the two might as well be scheming together to oppose the World Government. Despite Vegapunk working for them, it is entirely possible that he is, in truth, helping Dragon out in some way. All this could well end up becoming an important plot point in the Egghead Island arc spanning several chapters, starting withOne Piece1066. Vegapunk also has some information on the destruction of the Lulusia Kingdom, and this was hinted at by Oda at the beginning of the arc. Provided that he does know something about it, Luffy could find out about Sabo’s fate through him. Undoubtedly, the Egghead Island arc looks set to continue in the most incredible of ways.
