Once Human’sworld is a weird and twisted place. Monsters born of stardust are everywhere, and anomalies of all sorts can be found in the most random of places. This setting definitely makes for enjoyable exploration, especially when it leads to encounters like the one in Dayton Hospital early in the game.
If you’re the type who does every sidequest they come across, then you’ve probably found yourself stuck in a space-time distortion inside Dayton Hospital. Escape may seem impossible, but if you pay attention to the background, you’ll be able to get out of there in no time. Here’s a quick guide on how to escape from the anomaly in the hospital withoutlosing your sanity inOnce Human.
Where To Start The Dayton Hospital Sidequest In Once Human
Dayton Hospital is a POI locatedwest of the town of Brookhamand directly north of the Monolith of Greed in the Dayton Wetlands. The POI includes all buildings surrounding the hospital, including a warehouse on the western side where an NPC named Paul can be found.
Paul is an injured survivor who hid himself in the warehouse while waiting for his partner, Kayla, who went to the hospital in search of medical supplies. However, it’s been a while since she left, and Paul is worried something has happened to her. He’ll ask you to find Kayla in the hospital along with the medical supplies.
You can find a deceased Kayla in a supply room on the hospital’s upper floors. If you interact with the Emergency Medicine on one of the shelves, the space around you will start warping. After a short loading screen, you’ll find yourself in a special instance of the hospital away from the rest of the open world.
How To Leave Dayton Hospital In Once Human
Once you get the Wheelchair Deviant inside Dayton Hospital, you’ll find yourself stuck in spatial loop in one of the hospital’s lobby areas. To get out, you need to set the calendar on the south wall to 9/15, as per the repeating announcement on the PA system.Once Humanis a melting pot of influences, and this scene feels like it’s something straight out of the SCP Foundation.
To do this, you need to move through the doors until the calendar is set to the right date. The doors in front and behind the nurse’s desk will move thedayon the calendar, while the ones to the left and right will move themonth. Simply run through the doors until you get 9/15 on the calendar, then use the phone on the nurse’s desk. The door right next to the desk will open up, revealing theSpace TurnerDeviant alongside the mysterious wheelchair from the beginning.
