The Five Kage refers to the group of the leaders of the five major shinobi villages in the world ofNaruto. Although history doesn’t see them band together often, the Fourth Great Ninja War saw them unite to fight against the threat of Madara Uchiha and the Akatsuki together.

As excellent shinobi, the Five Kage ofNarutopossessed immense power that could hardly be matched by any ninja. Only a handful of shinobi could be considered strong enough to fightthe Five Kageon an equal footing and even fewer could surpass them in power and skill.
9Hashirama Senju, The First Hokage
Hashirama Senju was the First Hokage of Konohagakureand one of the strongest known shinobi of all time. His strength was such that it was often considered to be a myth across the shinobi world.
Hashirama was the strongest shinobi of his generation and he was a step above Madara Uchiha, who was able to defeat the Five Kage without even tapping into his true power against them. Evidently, Hashirama Senju was stronger than the Five Kage.
8Obito Uchiha, The Second Ten-Tails Jinchuriki
Obito Uchiha grew by leaps and bounds in terms of strength during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Not only did he get to explore the powers of the Rinnegan, but he also got to become the Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails. After acquiring this power, Obito’s strength surpassed even that of the reanimated Madara Uchiha.
The First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, openly admitted to being inferior to him. Given that the Five Kage are weaker than both Hashirama and Madara, they would certainly not have stood any chance against Obito either.
7Might Guy, The Taijutsu Expert
Might Guy proved himself to be one of the strongest ninjas to ever live in the Fourth Great Ninja War when he opened all Eight Inner Gates. By doing so, Guy gained powers that were far greater than the Five Kage combined.
He was able to put up a fight against Madara Uchiha in his Six Paths form which is incredibly impressive. Guy’s strongest attack was so powerful that it nearly killed Madara by his own admission.
6Madara Uchiha, The Third Ten-Tails Jinchuriki
Madara Uchiha was reanimated using Edo Tensei by Kabuto Yakushi during the Fourth Great Ninja War and later,brought back to life by Black Zetsu using the Rinne Tensei.

Soon after, Madara collected all the Tailed Beasts and became the perfect Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails, gaining enormous power in the process. His true strength was great enough to fight both Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha at the same time. Given that Madara was already stronger than the Five Kage when he was reanimated, at his best, he could make quick work of them.
5Sasuke Uchiha, The Last Uchiha In Naruto
Sasuke Uchiha joined the Fourth Great Ninja War quite later, however, he did so at the top of his ability.By acquiring the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, Sasuke was already one of the strongest shinobi in the war but he got even stronger following a near-death encounter with Madara Uchiha.
Sasuke met Hagoromo Otsutsuki, who gifted half of his Six Paths chakra to him and allowed him to awaken the Rinnegan in his left eye. At the peak of his ability,Sasuke was strong enoughto go head-to-head against the likes of Madara Uchiha and Kaguya Otsutsuki.
4Naruto Uzumaki, The Child Of Prophecy
The Child of Prophecy, Naruto Uzumaki alsomade incredible progressduring the Fourth Great Ninja War. After defeating the Nine-Tails in combat, Naruto Uzumaki gained access to its power and eventually made a bond with the Tailed Beast.

Furthermore, just like Sasuke, Naruto met Hagoromo Otsutsuki and gained access to half his powers. With the Six Paths Sage Mode, he was strong enough to fight Madara Uchiha and even hold his own against Kaguya Otsutsuki. Undoubtedly, he was strong enough to take on all the Five Kage by himself.
3Hamura Otsutsuki, The Sage Of Six Paths' Brother
Hamura Otsutsuki was the son of Kaguya Otsutsuki and possessed her strong chakra. From birth, he was incredibly powerful and during his prime, he had mastered the Byakugan and even awakened the Tenseigan.
Hamura was able to fight against Kaguya Otsutsuki for months, meaning he was quite powerful. What’s more, he could also keep up with Hagoromo Otsutsuki to some extent as he possessed the Truth-Seeking Balls as well, although he wasn’t nearly as strong as him.
2Hagoromo Otsutsuki, The Sage Of Six Paths
Hagoromo Otsutsuki, also known as the Sage of Six Paths, was one of the strongest characters in the entire story. Being Kaguya’s son, he possessed her strong chakra and by adulthood, he had mastered the Rinnegan’s powers as well.
Hagoromo was able to fight against Kaguya Otsutsuki for some months and even seal her away. After defeating her, he got even stronger by becoming the Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails. Undoubtedly, Hagoromo was a godly figure whose powers go beyond the level of the Five Kage.
1Kaguya Otsutsuki, The Rabbit Goddess
Kaguya Otsutsuki was the strongest of all Naruto charactersand the progenitor of chakra on earth. Being an Otsutsuki, she possessed tremendous power that could wipe out the entire populace. Kaguya was powerful enough to fight both Hagoromo and Hamura Otsutsuki at the same time for months.
She could also take on the entire Team 7 on her own, which goes to show how incredibly powerful she truly was. At her full power, she was far stronger than the likes of the Five Kage.
