Rock Lee is one of the most beloved characters in the world ofNaruto. He was introduced to the fansduring the Chunin Exams arcwhere it was revealed that he was a member of Team Guy under the care of the legendary Might Guy.

Along with Neji and Tenten, Lee was considered to be a dangerous opponent for everyone during the Chunin Exams. However, while Neji was seen as the main threat, Lee was the dark horse of the team. It is safe to say that fans were pleasantly surprised to see the level of strength that Lee possessed and, over the years, his powers have only increased. Despite not being ableto use ninjutsu or genjutsu, Lee has achieved a lot in the world of ninja.
8Became A Ninja Without Ninjutsu Or Genjutsu
One of the very biggest achievements of Rock Lee is that he became a ninjadespite not being able to use Ninja Arts of ninjutsu or genjutsu. These two powers are central to how ninjas fight yet Lee was able to achieve the rank of a ninja despite not having any skill in these arts.
This means that his skill with taijutsu was that much more advanced than any other shinobi and this in itself is a great achievement for him.
7Achieved Superhuman Strength On His Own
Lee was able to achieve superhuman strength on his own. He does not possess any powerful ninjutsu techniques. Whatever he possesses is a result of the number of hours that he has put in increasing his physical strength and speed, and stamina to a superhuman level.
All of these abilities are things that he has mastered on his own. Even though he had Might Guy to teach him, he put in extra effort after his missions and was seen training alone all the time. That resulted in him becoming as strong as he is today and reaching these heights is surely an achievement.
6Defeated Sasuke Uchiha
During the Chunin Exams arc inNaruto, Rock Lee was able totrade blows with Sasuke Uchiha. In fact, it would be a stretch to say that they traded blows. He was able to completely defeat Sasuke in a matter of seconds. Despite the Uchiha having his Sharingan activated, he was not able to keep track of Lee’s movements or defend against his attacks.
Had Lee not been stopped, Sasuke could very well have suffered a serious injury. This is even more surprising when taking into consideration the fact that Lee had not even taken off his weights or opened any of his gates at this point.
5Mastered 5 Of The 8 Gates At The Age Of 12
Rock Lee is a user of the Eight Inner Gates technique. This forbidden jutsu allows him to increase his physical strength, speed, and stamina at the cost of physical exhaustion. His levels of chakra also increase drastically when using these powers.

The gates are extremely hard for anyone to master. In fact, Kakashi, who is considered to be a genius, can only open one gate that the fans know of. Lee, on the other hand, had mastered five of the eight gates at the age of 12, which is nothing short of staggering.
4Mastered 6 Of The 8 Gates By The Age Of 16
Rock Lee didn’t stop at just five gates. Throughout the timeskip ofNarutoand even after, he continued to train and, thus, he grew much stronger than ever before. By the time of the 4th Great Ninja War, where he roughly was 17 years of age, he had mastered six of the eight gates, which made him incredibly powerful.
Together with Guy, he possessed enough strength that allowed him to take even Madara Uchiha by surprise. In fact, his physical speed at this point was great enough to outclass the Truth Seeking Orb of the 10 Tails Jinchuriki, which even Kakashi could not do with his Kamui.
3Became A Master Of The Drunken Fist
Another incredible achievement of Rock Lee is the fact that he is a master of the Drunken Fist style. While this likely comes naturally to him, the fact that he is a true master of taijutsu when using this skill is incredible nonetheless.
Fans saw him use this power against Kimimaro and, surprisingly, without even opening his gates, he was able to match him blow for blow, which is an incredible achievement and just goes to show that Lee isn’t all about gates.
2Mastered All Eight Gates By Adulthood
By adulthood, Rock Lee has managed to master all of the Eight Inner Gates. This means that he possesses the level of strength that Might Guy had during the Fourth Great Ninja War.
In times of need, Lee can open all eight gates and attain power that is several times greater than the Five Kage. Lee can even fight on par against the 10 Tails Jinchuriki and Otsutsuki level characters, and this is incredible, to say the least.
1Surpassed Might Guy
Lee is known to have surpassed Might Guy after the events of the 4th Great Ninja War. This is even more apparent now since he has mastered all the Eight Inner Gates.
On top of that, he’s a master of the Drunken Fist style. Lee is, at the very least, on par with Guy, and given that the next generation always surpasses the previous one inNaruto, and the fact that he possesses the very same skillset as Guy himself, it isn’t a stretch to say that the statement of him surpassing Guy holds true.
