The #3 Pro-Hero Returns
Believed to be missing or dead,Best Jeanist surprises everyonewith his sudden appearance, falling out of the sky to dominate the battlefield. Within seconds, every Villain in the vicinity has been incapacitated by Best Jeanist’s reliable rope work, giving the Heroes a much-needed moment to catch their breath.
Nejire Hado takes the opportunity to cause some damage but she gets unceremoniously shot down by Dabi’s intense flames, which also quickly burn through Best Jeanist’s cables as he cackles maniacally. Meanwhile, the unconscious Shigaraki is trapped in a memory, with his family home clear in his mind, prompting him to utter the words “destroy it all, Machia” aloud, which has an immediate effect on the colossal beast.

The Todoroki Troubles
Shoto appears to be the only one capable of fighting Dabi, as most others are too injured, and a tear-strickenEndeavor is still recoveringfrom the shock of it all. Shoto attempts to talk some sense into his older brother, but Dabi is clearly past the point of rationality and admits that his emotional capacity is non-existent; a psychopath to the core. Wishing to kill his baby brother just so that he can cause Endeavor more pain, Toya’s mercilessness attacks, but his harsh words seem to do more damage than his flames.

While the brothers battle, Gigantomachia amps up his power levels once again and breaks through the confinements binding him, and it seems the Near-High End Nomus got the same message from their Master. Suddenly retreating from their own fight, the Nomus regroup and head to Shigaraki’s side, adding extra strain to the Heores' predicament. At that precise moment, another unforeseen Hero emerges from the woodworks; the last person anyone expected, a no-longer-Quirkless Lemillion. Thanks to Eri’s intervention, the speedy Mirio dartsbetween the foes, doing some considerable damage in the process and refueling Bakugo, Iida, and Hado’s hope, who eagerly return to combat.
Bakugo’s Big Reveal
Bakugo’s mentor has been out of action since way back in Season 3 and so the youngster has been rather tight-lipped about his official Hero name, having promised to reveal it to Best Jeanist first. The opportunity finally arrives, and Bakugo announces his absurd new moniker, which is quite a mouthful, causing everyone but Mirio (who thinks it’s “fun”) to cringe. Additionally, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamite has noticed a change in his powers as he seems to have unlocked a more efficient feature in his Quirk after saving Deku from Shigaraki’s Rivet Stabsin Season 6, episode 9. Bakugo draws from his last reserves to assist his fellow Heroes and gives the Nomus a run for their money, inspiring Hado and Iida to rejoin the fight, too.

While most of the attention is on the Nomus and Machia, the Todoroki boys are still battling it out and Shoto seems to be in a bit of trouble. Deku watches on helplessly, incapable of moving his limbs but determined to do his part to help out. Inspiration strikes as Midoriya decides to shoot Blackwhip out of his mouth instead, dubbing it “Froppy Style” and successfully creating some distance between the brothers. He follows through with a motivational speech about how much Endeavor and Shoto mean to him which finallyspurs the #1 Hero into action, who proceeds to take out all his frustrations on the unencumbered Gigantomachia. Endeavor’s inferno is the coup de grace, as Machia’s body reaches its limits, giving Momo’s anesthetic a chance to kick in (at long last!)
A Series of Fortunate Events
Arguably for the first time in the Paranormal Liberation Front, the Heroes actually seem to have a fighting chance, and, as Best Jeanist eloquently surmises, they have their impeccable teamwork to thank for their success. Every Hero involved epitomizes the “Plus Ultra” motto and has risked everything to offer the best protection possible, each chipping away at the enemy until their ominous alliance began to tear at the seams. Mr. Compress cannot contain his disappointment, noting howthe Villains have been epic failures, each out on their own mission and ultimately falling short of their primary goal. Now without Machia at their disposal, the rebels have little to shield them from the Heroes' final assault (unless Re-Destro and his minions pop up out of nowhere.)
Next Up: “Final Performance”
The lines get blurred as everyone’s emotional state is heightened and the combat draws to a close, with the Villains making a last-ditch effort to regain control of the situation. They appear to have broken free of Best Jeanist’s imprisonment, and a blood-soaked (and shirtless) Mr. Compress runs rampant while giving viewers some insights into his origin story. Meanwhile, the battle of the Todoroki brothers has been menacingly labeled a “fight to the death,” and Endeavor loses the last trickles of hope he was so desperately clinging to.Shigaraki has mustered up enough energyto have another go at things, whereas Spinner looks like he may have found the secret stash of deleter rounds (or something startling and advantageous, nonetheless.)
