My Friend Peppa Pigis now receiving free PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S upgrades that help make the game pop on next-gen hardware.
Originally released on October 22nd, 2021,My Friend Peppa Piglaunched as a cute sandbox game aimed at a young audience. On January 21st, 2022, the game launches onnext-gen consoleswith a free upgrade for existing PS4 and Xbox One owners that contains notable improvements compared to its last-gen counterparts.

The upgrades for each of the next-gen consoles come with a quality and performance mode. On the PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, the performance mode allows the game to run at 60FPS in 1080p. On the quality setting, the Xbox Series X and PS5 can runMy Friend Peppa Pigin native 4K, except for the Xbox Series S, because the console doesn’t have the graphical power to play the game at that resolution. The PS5 receivessupport for the DualSense controllerand activity card, while the Xbox Series X and S gain quick resume support. In addition, each next-gen console will see an increase in loading speed. Unfortunately, none of the next-gen consoles can runMy Friend Peppa Pigat 60FPS in native 4K.

While Outright Games, the development studio behindMy Friend Peppa Pig, seems like it is done with delivering support to the game, it is not done. In fact, on the studio’s website, Outright Games announced thatMy Friend PeppaPigwill receive a DLC update in March. Although Outright Games has not given a specific release date for the DLC, the studio at least announced that players can expect new content in the near future.

As a whole, this family-friendly game is a sizable package that offers gameplay that fans of the show and parents can enjoy, and now that package just got even better.
