It has been about ten years ever since Nintendo released itsGameCube. Although theGameCubecan be spotted today for a fairly low price around $200, some of its games have only gotten more expensive as years go by. Basically, some GameCube titles started to become collectibles, meaning the high demand but low supply of them have raised the price exponentially.
GameCube has managed to become a nostalgic consoleand some have argued it is one of Nintendo’s bests, but regardless, it has been widely underappreciated in comparison to other consoles. This is not to say that the GameCube did not have its problems. Even when the console was fresh out, it received criticism about the choice to use the mini DVD format and not playing DVDs, as well as the type of game that Nintendo was releasing at that time. However, GameCube did have some amazing titles as well.

The Rare Bundles
Some of the most expensive titles have become pricey because they come in a bundle which can include many different installments of an already classic title. Most of the time, these games are also hard to find which is why they have become valuable for collectors. A good example of this isthe popular titleSuper Monkey Ball 2-Packwhich can cost over $600. In this case, it is the bundle that makes it reach that price since the individual games are more easily found.
A more expensive rare game is theInteractive Multi-Game Demo DiscVersion 14 which, as the name suggests, is a compilation of demos. What makes this demo disc surpass the $1000 in price in the case of a new copy is the fact that it includes demos of many other classic games. Version 14 includes demos of games likeCustom Robo, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!,as well as trailers forFinal Fantasy Crystal ChroniclesandNeed for Speed: Underground, among others.

Other bundles that are highly appreciated and therefore a little more expensive than usual titles includethe classicSonic Adventure 2 Pack, and theMetroid Prime & Zelda Wind Waker Combo. The latter has become particularly famous for reaching a price of $1500 due to how limited the game is. Even though each of the titles can be found at a much lower price, the bundle is so rare its price has increased considerably over the years.
