Ever since the release ofMortal Kombat 11back in April 2019, NetherRealm Studios has been continually adding new Brutalities to its highly-popular fighting game. Often, these newMortal Kombat 11Brutalitiesare entirely unique creations that have never appeared in the franchise before, but that is not always true. Case in point: a new Brutality for Jax was recently discovered inMK11, and it is an exact recreation of a classic Fatality fromMortal Kombathistory.
The newMortal Kombat 11Brutality begins with Jax growing to supersize, leaving his opponent both dazed and confused. This confusion does not last long, though, and soon enough the defeated foe is screaming in terror and reaching their hands up into the air. While the reason for this gesture is not immediately apparent, it is quickly revealed, as Jax’s gigantic boot soon descends to completely squash his opponent into a mess of blood and bones.

Certainly, this new Brutality finds itself on the weirder end of the spectrum when it comes toMK11finishers, and, as mentioned before, it has actually appeared in anotherMortal Kombatgame in a different capacity. More specifically, this Brutality is an updated take on one of Jax’s Fatalities fromMortal Kombat 3, giving it an additional layer that many veterans of the series are sure to enjoy.
With respect to how players can gain access to this Brutality, there is indication that it will be available in a forthcomingMortal Kombat 11Towers of Timeevent. Exactly when that event will come is currently unknown, but fans that want to earn the finisher should keep an eye out, as it is possible that it will begin as soon as the Joker’s Trial Tower comes to an end.
Previously, NetherRealm used a new Brutality to add aclassic Baraka FatalitytoMortal Kombat 11, and the vicious Tarkatan even received a finisher that recreates a Quan Chi Fatality in the past. As such, the new Jax Brutality is not without precedent, but it always a treat to see NetherRealm call back to the franchise’s history, and perhaps fans can expect even more old finishers to come toMortal Kombat 11in the future.
Mortal Kombat 11is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
