Information on what players can expect to experience in the Expansion Pass has been trickling out little by little since the DLC was announced. Audiences received one of their strongest glimpses earlier this month when Nintendo dropped aDLC release date trailer, revealing exactly whenThe Isle of Armorwould launch. The June 17 presentation, however, should provide more information than ever before, serving as a more official reveal for what Nintendo has been holding back.
The Expansion Pass won’t just be adding new content and new Pokemon, but plenty of older Pokemon will be returning as well. In fact, there will be more than 200returning Pokemon in the expansions, including Legendary Pokemon. This alone may be worth investing in the new content for longtime fans of the series. Outside of new and returning Pokemon, new features will also be a part of the DLC, such asThe Isle of Armor’s Cram-O-Matic. This handy machine will allow trainers to gain new items by tossing in any unwanted ones.
The Isle of Armoris the firstPokemon Sword and ShieldDLC and the first downloadable content in the franchise’s history, so expectations are high. Luckily, Nintendo seems ready to deliver, with new rivals, new story, and plenty of fresh content to explore. Another first for the franchise was also discovered to be part of the DLC;The Isle of Armorwill have level-scaling. With this feature, enemy Pokemon will have their levels scaled to the highest Pokemon in the player’s party
