More images ofKojima Productions' upcoming horror gameOverdosehave been circulating online in private servers, and across various messaging platforms. While the additional images shed a bit more light on the project, they don’t provide many definitive answers as to its nature. Earlier this year it was reportedKojima Productionswas working on a horror game calledOverdose, but the studio asked that the initial report regarding the game be removed.
Very little is known aboutOverdose, aside from what gamers can assume based on thenewly circulating screenshots.

Kojima recently said he was working on a title that would redefine mediaif the concept caught on, but it’s unclear if that title is in factOverdose,or something else entirely. These new screenshots began circulating on a private Discord server, showing Mama actress Margaret Qualley in a blue dress. As reported by Insider Gaming, towards the end of the shared footage, a jump scare flashes reading GAME OVER, and a game by Hideo Kojima.
The screenshots appear to originate from the original video that was posted, making it apparent the media is now in many more gamer’s hands. The Discord server where the media first appeared is used by game developers unassociated with Kojima Productions, and were promptly deleted shortly after being shared.
Kojima has spoken aboutOverdosemuch as he didDeath Stranding, leaving gamers to wonder what the gameplay features of this new title will be. Usually, as more people gain access to media about an upcoming game, the faster the studio behind the game will release relevant details. Perhaps asOverdoseimages spread online, Kojima Productions will decide to release more official information about this new title. Kojima stated that his next game will leverage the power of the cloud to provide a gaming experience like no other, and gamers are curious ifOverdosewill be that gaming experience.
Earlier rumors suggested Kojima’s next game would be aPlayStation exclusive sequel toDeath Stranding, however, the developer recently announced his partnership with Xbox Studios. While announcing the partnership with Xbox, Kojima was sure to remind fans that his relationship with Sony was still strong. Speculation suggests that it’s possibleOverdoseis the game Kojima is working on in partnership with Xbox, but there is nothing solid that can verify that.
