Call of Duty: Modern Warfarehas just begun its Season 6 content, but it seems that this may not be the last season for the shooter. Although Activision has not officially confirmed the existence of Season 7, in-gameModern Warfarecontent has already begun to reference it.
There are subtle references in thepromotional writing of aspects ofModern Warfarethat suggest a 7th Season may be coming. Alongside the in-game text, the officialCall of Dutywebsite mentions a continuation of the Battle Pass into a new season. Although not a confirmation, it is enough to start the fan theory gears well into working.

There is also a chance that Season 7 will not be coming toModern Warfare,and instead,Warzonewill continue on. This would not be surprising, as the end of Season 6 is around the same time thatCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warlaunches. This would, however, mean thatCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warwill start in a 7th Season continuing whereModern Warfareleft off. TheCall of Dutycommunity is not sure exactly how that would work with many fans believing that starting the Season count over a much cleaner solution.
Still, there could be some confusion asModern WarfareSeason 1 contentis currently not listed separately. It is instead listed simply as Season 1 content, which means continuing the count may benefit theWarzonecommunity in the long run.
Still, some information can be gleaned from the possibility of Season 7. First, players can estimate the launch time and date based on previous Season examples. Season 7 is most likely to appear on Tuesday, November 24th. Considering that other seasons arrive at 11 pm PT the night before the intended date, fans can probably expect the next Season to follow the same pattern.
WithBlack Ops Cold Warset to launch on November 13th, most fans are expectingWarzoneto connect with the new title. If this is true, it will be interesting to see how the developers tie Verdansk into the new game’s narrative and explain exactly how the transfer is set to work.
