It’s fair to say thatMinecraftwill go down in history as one of the most successful games of the last ten years. Its sophisticated building mechanics, and vast sandbox world, mean thatMojang’s juggernaut of a title has near-infinite reply value. Much of this replayability stems from the creative community that is dedicated to building so many interesting structures. It seems as though the fan base will never get tired of unleashing its creativity upon the game, and a recent build has shown that it’s possible to make something that doesn’t even look like it came fromMinecraft.
Uploading an image to theMinecraftSubreddit recently, user iliketogetrekt has shown their incredible creative building skills in the game by showing the community what a gorgeous throne room would look like. While it’s just the one image, it’s clear that a good amount of work has gone into the structure with the user implementing different textures, and putting some fine details in, such as a red carpet that runs up to the throne itself, as well as a series of candelabras and chandeliers to give it that authentic, palatial look.

The top comment on the thread mentioned that the image makes it look like the throne room exists in an entirely different game. When asked about the visuals, the creator did mention that theMinecrafttexture packused in their build comes from the Conquest Reforged pack. They also added, in response to another commenter, that they’d used a survival data pack which they’d made themselves.Minecraftdata packs are ways for players to further enhance the game by adding new buildings, or altering world generation settings, as well as lots of other things.
One other person replied in the thread, saying that iliketogetrekt’s throne room could be something out of aDoommod. Another user said it reminded them ofSkyrim’s Ulfric Stormcloak, specifically their hall in Windhelm. Overall, the commenters in the thread are very impressed with the work the user has put into their throne room.
It is a testament to the skills that exist in the community. Fans can build all manner of things using the game’s mechanics and just letting their imaginations run wild. Everything from massive houses, to complex structures from other franchises have been built. There was even a fan who madea workingTetrisgame withinMinecraftusing redstone. The throne room made by iliketogetrekt is just one of many examples of why the game is still being enjoyed to this day, and is as popular now as it was when it was released all those years ago.
