5Physical Abilities
Luffy is an anomaly of nature. Even without his Devil Fruit and Haki, the Straw Hat pirate’s physical abilities are far superior to those of most of the other characters in the series. The main reason behind it is the time he spent exploring the wild with his brothers, Ace and Sabo.
The three brothers would often hunt creatures that were ten times their size. Their adventures made them more rugged and helped them gain a high amount of physical strength. Luffy also has immense speed, as evidenced by the fact that he could keep up with Rob Lucci’s Soru. The combination of these abilities makes Luffy an extremely dangerous foe.

4Future Sight
Kenbunshoku Haki is one of the two types of Haki that can be learned by practicing. Luffy was taught its application by Silvers Rayleigh during the two-year time skip. Luffy started to use Kenbunshoku Haki to dodge attacks that could potentially prove fatal.

Luffy awakened the ability to see the future in the Whole Cake Island arc. This gives him a serious edge over his opponents.Luffy has already used Future Sightmany times inOne Piece. It is unclear how much further he can look into the future, but that will be clarified in the upcoming arcs.
3Busoshoku Haki
After training with Rayleigh for a couple of years, Luffy learned how to use Busoshoku Haki. With its help, he could finally attack Logia-type Devil Fruit users such as Smoker, Kizaru, and Akainu. Luffy could also defend himself from lethal attacks by covering parts of his body with Busoshoku Haki.
When Luffy traveled to Whole Cake Island, he faced Charlotte Katakuri. The fight not only tested Luffy’s resolve but also helped the pirate learn new powers. One of them wasAdvanced Busoshoku Haki, but Luffy didn’t master it entirely until the Wano Country arc. Currently, Luffy can use the highest version of Busoshoku Haki to destroy his targets from the inside.

2Devil Fruit Awakening
Luffy ate the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika when he was still a kid. He unknowingly consumed the Devil Fruit, thinking it was just any ordinary fruit. By the time, he realized what he had done, it was too late. It grants his body the properties of rubber, which seem rather ordinary in comparison to the rest of the Devil Fruit powers in the series.
However, it was later revealed to be one of the most powerful Devil Fruits. Luffy unlocked the Devil Fruit’s power through training, which ultimately allowed him to create different Gears. The strongest of them all is Gear 5th, which is Luffy’s Devil Fruit Awakening. In this form, the pirate can extend the rubbery properties to other objects. Luffy also gains more control over his body, and he can become a giant rubber human. He has not mastered his Awakening completely yet, but it won’t be long before he eventually does.

1Haoshoku Haki
Haoshoku Haki is the rarest and most powerful form of Haki. It is the only type of Haki that cannot be learned through training. Only those born with it are able to harness its power. Luckily, Luffy is one of the few characterswho possesses Haoshoku Haki.
Prior to the Wano Country arc, Luffy only knew one way of using this form of Haki, and that was to knock out weak enemies. While fighting Kaido, the Straw Hat realized that Haoshoku had more applications. Luffy slowly started to apply this Haki to his attack, which allowed him to damage Kaido’s impenetrable skin. Luffy’s Haoshoku Haki is among the very best, and there is no doubt that it will only improve in the future as he goes through more tests of strength.
