Summary
Lethal Companyisn’t all about landing on a moon, saving oneself from monsters, grabbing loot, and completing the next quota to survive another day. The story goes much deeper than this, andLethal Companyhas plenty of easter eggs and secrets that will keep players guessing and making theories about the game, through its story, creatures, and characters.
Surviving inLethal Companyis half the battle and fun, but learning of the secrets that can be uncovered through various tapes and locations helps to flesh out the lore, and keep players guessing just what is going on in this hilarious and terrifying dystopia.

6Sigurd’s Data Entry Logs
Uncover Some Lore With Mysterious Data Logs Found Across All Maps
Across the various dangerous moons that players will explore in Lethal Company, some house data logs follow the mysterious story of Sigurd and his crew. There are over 12 data logs in Lethal Company, and they are scattered across all maps in specific locations. Justbe careful of harsh terrain, giants, and eyeless dogs if attempting to nab these lore entries, to further uncover the secrets of Sigurd and the Company itself.
The entry logs delve into some interesting topics, like the Golden Planet, the beast within the Company’s walls, and the fate of Sigurd’s crew. It’s dark and mysterious, and fans hope to see more of these logs as more updates are released with the game, creating a chilling narrative. Once players have found a data log, they can return to the ship and use the terminal to type in “Sigurd” which will show them the data logs as readable text.

5The Secret Drill / Submarine
Underneath The Company, Lies A Secret
If players head back to the Company, take a break from selling scrap to embark down the hatch found on the left of the ship. Down this hatch and across a few steel beams, players can find a hidden platform that hides a secret, a large metal object with the words “don’t tell” sprayed in red paint on the side.
The device itself leaves plenty of room for speculation. Who built it? Is it a submarine? Is it a drill? The device is strange, and there seem to be two ports for the apparatus that players can find within the maps. Yet, they can’t plug them in. Hopefully, this device comes into play with future updates, butthe secret submarineis certainly worth keeping an eye on for now.

4The Backrooms
Brackens Inhabit These Featureless Lobbies
Within the Facility map layouts ofLethal Company, players may access a room only to find it barren, but completely different from the other rooms they have ventured to. These rooms arecommonly referred to as Bracken rooms, thanks to the misconception that Brackens will spawn here and use it as their base to drag bodies into.
The room itself is oddly reminiscent of the Backrooms, a piece of internet folklore that has been floating around the internet since 2019. This internet aesthetic shows linear space with plain walls and floors, providing naught but mystery, exhaustion, and no way out. When finding one of these rooms inLethal Company, it’s always a dead end, and it’s best to leave rather quickly.

3The Company Monster
Feed This Monster, For What Purpose?
If players have ever returned to the Company to sell scrap, chances are that they have encountered the monster lurking within at least once. This monster growls and screams, and will even reveal its tentacles to drag in any unsuspecting crew members, but only if irritated. To avoid bringing out the monster, players should avoid ringing the bell too many times, and definitely avoid making noise, that means no speakingwhen selling items!
The entity within the walls has no name, but the community has dubbed it Jeb for some reason. Through data logs from Sigurd and fan theories, it’s possible that The Company was created simply to feed this monster scrap and other useless junk, keeping it sustained and peaceful behind large walls on a desolate moon. One entry in particular talks about a golden planet, and perhaps this monster is the one that ate said planet. It’s purely speculation, but an interesting one at that.

2Monsters & SCPs
The Eyeless Dog Has Uncanny Resemblance With SCP-939
An eclipsed moon is dangerous for all, as it means more enemies can spawn outside, like the Eyeless Dog. Upon inspecting these monsters, players will notice that they are blind, but they have incredibly sensitive hearing. One step on a whoopie cushion, or even breathing on the mic could alert them with a growl. Yet, it’s not abouthow the Eyeless Dog plays, but about what it resembles, that remains interesting.
There are a few monsters inLethal Companythat remain quite similar to SCP entries. In case players don’t know, the SCP Foundation (Secure, Contain, Protect) is a fictional secret organization where writers collaborate on new ideas and monsters to be collected. One such monster is SCP-939, which is also an eyeless red dog creature. This wouldn’t be the first similarity betweenLethal Companyand SCPs, as the Coil-Head enemy is extremely similar to the Weeping Angels ofDoctor Whoand SCP-173.

1The Secret Skybox
The Found Secrets Of HDRI Cedar Bridge
If players manage to reach above the foggy areas of the map, they might be able to see the skybox that they were never intended to see. This skybox brings forth many questions, from why to what. The skybox itself is of a shipping yard, with a few buildings. Whilst this skybox does nothing but add an eeriness to the map for the background, the community banded together to find this location.
What was revealed was that it was a render, anHDRI called Cedar Bridge found on Poly Haven. The lack of reason or information regarding the skybox makes it an interesting secret, but nothing stays secret for long when the community groups up to try and uncover every rock that needs turning inLethal Company. Although it means nothing, it’s still a fun hunt for a secret.
