Summary
Over the years, Traveller’s Tales has made quite a name for itself with its very successfulLEGOfranchise. Through this series, the studio has explored all sorts of different IPs. Players fondly rememberadventuring throughLEGO Star Wars,LEGO Marvel Super Heroeslet them live out their superhero fantasies,LEGO Harry Potterengrossed them into the Wizarding World, andLEGO Dimensionsfeatured more franchises than anyone could have imagined. Even though it may seem like theLEGOseries has nowhere else to go, there is one iconic franchise that would be perfect for it:Kingdom Hearts.
Since the very firstKingdom Heartslaunched in 2002, players have been enthralled in its world. CombiningFinal Fantasywith popular Disney characters seemed like it would never work, but Square Enix proved everyone wrong. This unlikely blend has since gone on to span dozens of games with even more looming on the horizon. While the future of the franchise may be focused on the upcomingKingdom Hearts 4, there may be room for a whole new LEGO adventure as well.

Traveller’s Tales Could Do So Much With the Kingdom Hearts IP
Kingdom Hearts Features a Plethora of Exciting IP
TheKingdom Heartsfranchise is known for the wide variety of Disney IPs that it has at its disposal. It brings together characters from popular Square Enix series likeFinal Fantasywith the wildly vast world of Disney. Players canexpect the likes of Mickey Mouse,Bambi,Aladdin,The Little Mermaid,Toy Story, and evenTroncharacters to pop up during their adventures, and with each entry, it seems like that catalog of franchises only grows.
This blend has madetheKingdom Heartsfranchisea treat for fans of Disney, which is probably why it has been so successful. It has grown to encompass 13 different games, with many more planned for the future. While that future may be in the hands of Square Enix, the current lull in the series feels like the perfect time to let another studio take the reins. Specifically, Traveller’s Tales should be allowed to put its own stamp on the IP with a brand-new type of adventure.
LEGO Kingdom Hearts Could Be Like LEGO Dimensions 2.0
Already, Traveller’s Tales has shown that it knows how tohandle multiple IPs throughLEGO Dimensions. That may have been a fantastic adventure with some of the most iconic properties around, yet it left out anything Disney related. Instead, the title was mostly focused on WB, Sony, or various other studios' work. ALEGO Kingdom Heartscould rectify that.
LEGO Kingdom Heartscould put players in control of a wide variety of Disney characters in a veryLEGO Dimensions-like adventure. Just like with every LEGO game before it, players would not be locked to one single character, but instead, they would have control of practically anyone they could imagine. They could fight their way through multiple Disney-themed open-worlds as Sora, Donald Duck, Jack Sparrow, Jack Skellington, orthe entireToy Storycrew. As long as it maintains the quality of past LEGO games, it could be exactly what Disney fans have been waiting for.
Traveller’s Tales has never crafted a game quite like this. Up until now, these Disney IPs have been relegated to their own games. However, that could all change if the studio is given the keys to theKingdom Hearts' kingdom. If it’s made with the same level of care thatLEGO Dimensionsgot, then it could be one of the bestLEGOgames to ever hit store shelves.
