An actor rumored to be involved inGrand Theft Auto 6could be teasing the long awaited title’s potentially imminent reveal. It’s been almost five years since Rockstar has shipped a game and nearly ten sinceGrand Theft Auto 5. Thus,Grand Theft Auto 6has arguably become the biggest, most highly anticipated AAA video game fans have been clamoring for in recent years.Rumors and leaks have been swirling around the sixth mainline entry in the highly celebrated, world renownGrand Theft Autofranchise over the past few years. Last year a massive leak spilled onto the internet, exposing a collection of screenshots and in-game footage ofGrand Theft Auto 6to the public. These leaks seemed to all-but-confirmmodern day Vice City as the central location, as well as the dual protagonists: a brother and sister. It’s important to note that none of this information has been officially confirmed by Rockstar. However, somebody who’s rumored to be a core part of the production may be teasing the reveal of the titleGrand Theft Autofans have been anticipating for a decade.RELATED:GTA Online Secret Message May Not Mean What Fans ThinkBryan Zampella, an actor who’s been rumored to be playing one of the protagonists inGrand Theft Auto 6named Jason, did an Instagram live with former Rockstar developer Joseph L Rubino wearing a blue floral shirt nearly identical to the one worn byGrand Theft Auto: Vice City’s iconic protagonist Tommy Vercetti. In the clip, Rubino briefly mentions an unannounced title they’ve both worked on, presumed to beGTA 6. Rubino also brought up working on Xbox’s imminentForza Motorsport,to which Zampella jokes about stealing the cars, an action that’s core to theGrand Theft Autoexperience. On top of that, the two of them half-jokingly talk about meeting up in Miami as Bryan Zampella jests about having a mission to do.

From the shirt, to the baseball bat Zampella is holding in the beginning of the clip, to the talk about stealing cars and partying at clubs in Miami, this all makes it seem like the Vice City rumors may be true. However, according to Joseph L Rubino’s LinkedIn profile, he left Rockstar in January 2016 to become a cinematics director for Ubisoft’sAssassin’s Creed Odyssey. At the time, Rockstar was probably busyshaping upRed Dead Redemption 2for its blockbuster 2018 release, so ifGrand Theft Auto 6was in the works in 2016 it was likely very early on without the need to get Zampella involved just yet. However, this is just speculation.

WithTake-Two Interactive recently hinting at a major release in the 2024-2025 window, it increasingly seems like concrete, official info onGrand Theft Auto 6could very well be coming soon, and Bryan Zampella’s behavior in the Instagram clip seems to support this. PerhapsGrand Theft Auto 5’s upcoming ten-year anniversary would be the perfect time for such a megaton reveal.
