The Streamer Awards after-party was allegedly shut down by theTwitchstreamer JustAMinx, who became overly intoxicated at the party. JustAMinx has followings onTwitch, YouTube, and TikTok, and creates mostly gaming and just chatting content. News of the incident comes from QTCinderella, the Twitch streamer who created and hosted the Streamer Awards.

QTCinderella first started the Streamer Awards in 2022, and although there has been some controversy and issues surrounding the two awards ceremonies that have happened so far, the events themselves have been successes. QTCinderella explained that she wanted a place forstreamers to get recognition and build relationshipswith each other. She invited JustAMinx to the event’s after-party on the condition that she didn’t drink, due to previous incidents where JustAMinx drank too much and was unsafe.

Unfortunately, JustAMinx did drink and became extremely intoxicated, to the point that she had to be removed by security. Allegedly, she resisted security by dropping and becoming dead weight, which led to her accidentally hitting her head. An ambulance was called for her, and the entire party was shut down.

This incident happened about week after JustAMinx wasbanned from Twitch for streaming while intoxicated. In the stream that caused the ban, JustAMinx was visibly drunk and dropped the bottle she was drinking from. Clearly, JustAMinx has a concerning relationship with alcohol that goes beyond the Streamer Awards after-party, and could most likely use some help.

It’s possible that JustAMinx could have been given more support at the party, which is somethingTwitch streamer xQcbelieves. People with issues related to alcohol have a lot of trouble resisting it, especially when they’re in an environment where they are surrounded by it. When QTCinderella heard that JustAMinx was being removed by security, she decided to let security handle the issue, because she understandably had a lot on her plate with running the event. However, it’s unclear if there was anyone around to help JustAMinx beyond kicking her out of the party, which at least prevented her from drinking more.

On the other hand, JustAMinx is responsible for her own actions, and can’t be helped unless she is willing to receive help. She has been involved in incidents and controversies in the past, including TikTok bans andblackmailing another streamer. She should be held accountable for her actions in addition to receiving help for her mental health and substance abuse struggles, so that she gets better and so that another incident doesn’t happen again.
